2024 is full of up's and down in my life, it feel very weird and strange but it's good, it's challenging and the more important thing is I improved a lot.
So here are my top failures of 2024:
● Got an interview call from Google for SDE-2 position, but the recruiter ghosted me and never get back.🕵️♂️❌
● Applied to ML research programs at universities in some parts of Asia, but no professor replied. However, one Indian professor explained why I didn’t get a response (an interesting story—will share later!). 📚🤔
● Applied for the MEXT scholarship this year, but as usual, I wasn’t selected. 🎓💔
● A U.S.-based model and founder loved my project and wanted to hire me, but due to poor internet in my village (due to poor internet I missed lot's of golden opportunities), she had to decline. 🏡📡
● Applied to a Singapore-based company for an SDE role with relocation support. My resume was selected, and I passed the initial test, but I didn’t clear their interview because I’m not strong enough in DSA. 🧑💻⚙️
● Worked on an initiative, but it’s not completed yet. 🚧🕐
● A company/owner offered me a great amount for my skills, saying they’d get back to me. When they finally did, they completely disagreed with their earlier offer and claimed they never said such things. He literally said : maybe I made delusional scenarios in my head? 😵💫🤷♂️
These things were truly demotivating in 2024, but it’s okay. Maybe those opportunities weren’t meant for me, or I simply didn’t work hard enough to qualify. However, they taught me valuable lessons and gave me a solid to-do list for 2025. 💪✨
And hey, let’s not forget—good things are on their way in 2025! 🚀🌟

Every rejection is a vote that you have tried. Don't feel discourage about it. Keep on trying and one day you will succeed. Don't be hard on yourself and just keep trying. The universe always falls in love with the stubborn heart.
My 2024 is not full of failures it also have lot's of success as well. It's balanced out and I think that's what life is ? @juniourrau

This was inspiring and humbling to read. And made me acknowledge I still have a job in this competitive, always-layoff market with bleak opportunities. I was watching a TV series yesterday that was saying it's all about "timing and momentum". You will get you time and momentum too. Be vigilant and aim high. Accept any opportunity to prove yourself instead of waiting for ideal one. Good luck!

Don't feel disheartened, everyone has different journey. Actually this blog is not like my normal blogs and it may sound very sad but now I didn't think it as sad because it really helped me to grow.
It is great to read, I do feel more motivated after reading it. Failures are a part of life and a building block to success. I find it privileged to get to know your story. Keep up the work!!
Your last point has a huge red flag with a big siren. That only was on the interview, I can't imagine how things will be after joining. Thanks for sharing. It takes a lot of courage to share failures.
