[origin: WO2005103754A1] The invention relates to a system for locating a telecommunications terminal (10) comprising a hybridisation location module (14) consisting of a spatial filter (142), a temporal geographical location filter (141) for comparing a duration corresponding to the age of a last geographical location with a first predetermined maximum duration and, in the case of a positive comparison,, in addition to said duration corresponding to the age of a last geographical location, comparing with a second predetermined maximum duration which is greater than said first predetermined maximum duration, a speed filter (145) for comparing the travel speed of said terminal (10) with a predetermined maximum speed, a module (144) for evaluating the geographical location uncertainty and a selection module (143) for selecting either the area defined by the last geographical location or a network location area. Said invention can be used for mobile telephone services requiring the knowledge of terminals location.
