[origin: EP0424631A1] The invention relates to a cylindrical load transfer switch of a stepping switch, which consists of a separate oil vessel and a load transfer switch insert which is arranged in a standing manner therein and can be pulled out upwards. The load transfer switch insert has a central, vertical, supporting column which has holes in the upper region, in which spring bars are located which engage in the bayonet-fitting recesses or projections on the inner wall of the oil vessel and hence lock the load transfer switch insert. <IMAGE>
