[origin: EP0361097A1] The patent claim "package element" serves a number of purposes, inter alia the basic principle of restricting the packaging for different products to the essential minimum, and at the same time, in the case of different product groups, to eliminate disposable packaging with its environmental problems and to change over to reuseable packaging. These package elements are mainly manufactured from plastic by means of injection-moulding. The decisive difference from conventional packaging is that the goods to be packaged are not held all around as in a cardboard box or plastic container, but, as the name implies, held individually positioned as if on a tray. Extravagant and expensive packaging is rendered superfluous. In the case of stacking, the goods to be packaged bear the stack load. Handling of the elements is simpler, quicker and consequently cheaper than in the case of conventional packaging. Possible applications of this element are e.g. in the fields of the automobile supplier industry (automatic drawing off of technical parts), the food industry (replacement of disposable yogurt-trays), gardening etc. <IMAGE>
