[origin: WO8504044A1] An electromagnetic actuator apparatus is provided with a permanent magnet (16) inserted parallel to a magnetic circuit constituted by a fixed member (12) around which a coil (11) is wound and a movable member (14). The movable member (14) is retained within an air gap inside the fixed member (12) so that it operates in a bistable or monostable manner.
