Hey, my name’s Geneva and if you love DIY and upcycling, you’ve come to the right place! In 2008 I started a DIY fashion blog – at the time it was just for fun, but turns out a lot of people love random upcycles and in 2012 I took the leap, quit my job as a town planner and published my first book!
A few years later my partner and I decided to buy and renovate a dilapidated old cottage and move back home to Brisbane, which unleashed an all out addiction to DIYing and upcycling. Since then I’ve DIYed, Upcycled and Renovated the whole space, learning and making mistakes as I go along, and had the joy of sharing that journey with you guys.
Admittedly some of my ideas are a little bizarre and don’t always go as planned, but for me that’s all part of the fun. So if you enjoy finding kerbside gold, DIY projects for the home both big and small, and learning how to see the potential of the items you have right in front of you, stick around, let’s get our hands dirty and make something amazing.
My Book
After thousands of DMs and emails from you guys about how to make a space over the last few years, I knew it was time to put pen to paper to create a handbook for making your home. Home Is Where You Make It is the ultimate guide to making and styling a home you love. It’s all about taking a space, no matter how perfect or imperfect, and turning it into a place to call home.
