A downloadable game for Windows and macOS

In the near-modern ages in an archipelago, in another 'verse far from ours...

Abducted by a band of sea-wandering traders, play as Den, and embark on a quest to return to their home island! On the way, wonders both treacherous and tempting await. Aside from the band of pursuers hunting for their fugitive, and other innocents to abduct, encounter otherwordly dangers lurking about on the journey home.

Conception

Originally conceived for Java back in 2014 as an action-adventure side-scroller, The Epic of Den was cancelled in 2016. The project was resurrected as a top-down action RPG, inspired by works such as Alundra, and Homer's Odyssey, using the Solarus Game Engine in March 2017.

Features

- Action-packed, puzzle-filled gameplay
- Graphics inspired by 16-bit SNES-era games
- Wield a variety of weapons, subweapons, and items
- Choose to play as a girl in green, or a boy in blue
- Explore a myriad of dungeons both small and large
