Campaign themes
2014
Auty's website highlighted the following campaign themes:[1]
Family
- Excerpt: " If elected I will apply this concept to all our families. I will always look to benefit the "WE" and not the "me" in any bill that comes to light."
Jobs
- Excerpt: "I will work with Community Leaders and all members of the Pawtucket Districts in the House to bring jobs from all industries to Pawtucket. Opportunities throughout Tech, Manufacturing, Infrastructure, Education, and Hospitality can all grow in a community which welcomes industry through competitive tax rates."
Education
- Excerpt: "We need to make school a place where our children can learn general studies but also engage in activities they are passionate about which may lead to possible careers. Exciting our students to go to school again needs to become a priority. I feel that Pawtucket can lead Rhode Island and be an example for the nation."
Community
- Excerpt: "There is no one person, or idea that can bring about sweeping change but collectively if we open our minds, stay positive, and put the best interest of our families first, Pawtucket will undoubtedly transform into a leading city of this young century. Having an on going dialogue with both the residents and the city leadership will help undoubtedly improve our neighborhoods and city."
Accountability
- Excerpt: "Being held accountable for how you vote or who you are aligned with needs to become the norm for our elected officials. We are all human, and bound to make mistakes, I just want all elected officials to be accountable for theirs, myself included."
