M. Lauren Lemmon is the chief judge of the 29th Judicial District, Division D in Louisiana. She was elected to this position on October 4, 2008.[1][2] She was re-elected in 2014 for a term beginning on January 1, 2015, and expiring on December 31, 2020.[3][4]

Lemmon received her B.S. from Spring Hill College and her J.D. from the Loyola University College of Law in 1990.[5][6]
Career
Lemmon is a former lawyer of Lemmon Law Firm, LL.C., where she specialized in family law. She was also serving as a public defender for juveniles at the time of her judicial election in 2008.[5][7]
