Barb Hanson was a Seventh Judicial District judge for Otter Tail County, Minnesota. She was appointed to this position in 2005. She was elected in 2006 and again in 2012 to a full term that ends in January of 2019.[1] She retired on November 11, 2020. [2]
Education
Hanson began her legal career in 1984 as an Assistant Otter Tail County Attorney. She worked in this position until her judicial appointment in 2005.[1]

Hanson holds an A.A. degree from Fergus Falls Community College (1975), a B.S. degree from Bemidji State University (1977) and a J.D. degree from the University of North Dakota School of Law (1984).[1]
Elections
2012
Hanson ran unopposed in the general election November 6, 2012.[3] She received 99.41 percent of the vote.[4]
