Literal newsreader app
While I'm driving, it would be nice to hear the news, since I can't read it. I can tune in the radio, sure, but it's pretty much just the oasis of NPR in a sea of conservative extremist media. So I'm wondering if there is a way to listen to NYTimes or WaPo articles (for example) from my iPhone's web browser. Perhaps some iOS accessibility functionality, but perhaps something that is more automatic in reading text from articles I select to listen to whilst driving, instead of having to highlight text and copy and manually paste it into a reader, which I can't do while driving. Does such a thing exist?
Help me re-home my rss feeds.
I've been using NetNewsWire on the mac since I helped beta test it prior to its release(11+ years), and need a new place to spend most of my internet time. More than 200 daily read feeds later I need a modern reader that can actually deal with modern flash/java/whatever items without crashing of freezing for minutes at time. Anyone recommend something that runs well on 10.8 and can hookup with my google reader account?
Usenet dwellers, lend me your expertise.
I created a website that "tracks" Usenet related software. Whenever a new revision is announced, I list it along with a ChangeLog. But I'm having trouble finding the right community to market it to. It seems that most Usenet people tend to keep to themselves. Is this a crazy niche that I should abandon, or does it have real merit? [more inside]
Powergrab 2.6 has been acting kinda funny on me lately.

Agent support sucks
I've used Forte Agent (paid) for about 10 years. However, they are now claiming they don't have a record of my most-recent upgrade and some of the tweaks they've made, I'm not cool with. Can anyone recommend a (preferably freeware) newsreader that has the following: Support for multiple servers (where it doesn't seperate each server like Thunderbird does), ease of use (remember, I'm familiar with Agent's interface), and tailored for offline (since I like to just read at leisure). I tried installing 40Tude's Dialog, but it will not run on my system for some reason.
Is there a good newsreader that also does podcasts?

Resources to improve diction, clarity etc for radio?
Reading aloud: I am training a junior news reader on a community radio station and she needs to improve her diction, clarity, pace etc. Any suggestions or online exercises/resources that will help, or is it just a matter of practice?
Stuff I've found so far is aimed at children learning to read aloud.
