Is there a place to find a maintained list of available audio books?

Or a brand where I can look for released books?

@rkkn - Elizabeth Moon's Deed of Paksenarrion trilogy has a protagonist that starts out as a young adult recruit in a mercenary company. It's one of my two favorite series about Paladins and is much more realistic than LNs.

For LNs, The Saint's Magic Power is Omnipotent isn't that heavy on the adventure but the main character is a summoned adult office lady. If the slower pace doesn't bother you it's a nice change from magic high school and villainess novels.

I've Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years is cute slow life with an office lady reincarnated as an adult.

Probably too young to fit, but Saving 80,000 Gold in Another World's Mitsuha is at least a high school graduate and the series has her acting as an adult not going to isekai Hogwarts. If you buy this one be sure to get the Kodansha light novel volumes not Sol Press and not the manga.

    @Lily-Garden

I had asked in another thread if they would let us know on the forums about the twitch meeting (they used to) and was told definitely it would be this time. But it never happened.

I would appreciate it greatly if they would put it on their to do list going forward.

I also suggest the Scholarmance series by Naomi Novik. They are very good and have a LN vibe to them.

    Japanese authors and physics
"Physics? Is it sparkly? Is it tasty?"

Ikaruga turned its thrusters to the weapon and started moving so fast that a steam of flames didn't hurt it.

    OMFG LOL 🤣
Physics prep school graduate in me is crying tears of blood.

How fast is "so fast"? Mach 5? 1M? 0.5M?We know it's a steam of "flames" and we heard nothing about fuel so the weapon got to have a huge air intake for super-heated air. Well not so super heated as it's RED, making an intake even larger, cause less energy injected. Why author thinks that moving inside the steam of flames will make any difference? IMO it will make it worse, as you'd add that steam's matter's resistance to ambient heating.

So yeah, author was better of writing "It spewed the dense steam of mana at it" and be done instead of inventing half-assed "explanations".

I don't have the Go 6 but I have the original Palma and the Poke 3 and I definitely recommend! Both use android out the box.

I use mine to read epubs and n9vels on book☆walker and it's a great experience.

As mentioned - einkbro is the go-to web browser for eink devices although i haven't used it for prepubs (lmk if you want me to test it - it should work fine though, I just normally don't have wifi on for it)

You can run it out of the box, download your fave apps, or even use a custom launcher for it

I know this is an old topic - but I think technology as finally caught up to what was on my 'wishlist' for a device:

high quality/clear display: e-ink 300 dpi - minimal ghosting/high refresh etc.long battery life - weeks not hoursO/S that supports both J-Novel app and websitefits in my jacket pocket/handinexpensive

making my 'Christmas list" :BOOX Go 6 - not the fastest cpu but ticks all the boxes - $150 US- includes case - anyone have one? thoughts? alternates (I also like the BOOX Palma2 but a bit more than I want to spend and prefer an aspect ratio closer to 4:3)

Decided to check for the status of this one though honestly didn't expect much. But lo and behold, the entire series is back on bookwalker, along with new volume 18! I think I last checked late summer and pretty sure it wasn't back then...

@Geezer-Weasalopes - thanks, I bought it when it came out but it's been sitting in my virtual to-read pile. Besides prepubs I'm reading JNC's Goblin Maiden v1 now (sweet :) ) but I'll try it next.

Hopefully this advice from last month will be of assistance:

@Rahul-Balaggan said in [CONTEST OVER] JNC Original Light Novel Contest:

There is no "standard" for the outline. As the author you will determine what should be there. What characters count as "major", how far to go into the story, and any other information you feel makes your work shine.

That is one of the main things here. You are writing this outline to show your work has potential, and that you have an idea of where the story is going and how you will get there.

You have 10,000 extra words to make a sales pitch. Use those 10,000 words in a way that will leave you the writer satisfied.

    Yeah.
The neat thing for the German & French market is that JNC Nina can pick up titles that were snagged by other firms for the English licenses; the licenses, even when global, are language specific.
So if no one else has negotiated a German or French license it's fair game for JNC Nina.
