How It All Started

In January 2015, two University researchers teamed up with a seasoned technology entrepreneur to launch Zoomi.

Zoomi, the first and only automated personalized learning technology, provides actionable eLearning data to companies with more than 250 proprietary algorithms.

Dr. Mung Chiang, an electrical engineering professor, saw only a 3% completion rate in his 200,000-person electrical engineering Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) back in 2012. Frustrated by the low completion rate, Dr. Chiang along with his doctoral student, Dr. Christopher Brinton, decided to find a way to increase course completion and better engage his students online.

It Was Time to Customize Learning for Everyone

In January 2015, Dr. Chiang teamed up with Dr. James Walker, a seasoned entrepreneur with experience in pharmaceutical technology. Zoomi was born.

Zoomi is the first and AI-informed learning analytics company that uses machine learning to rapidly individualize training pathways in real-time. Its artificial intelligence studies learner behaviors and patterns to understand what each employee knows, what still needs to be taught and how to best deliver that information automatically – so you don’t have to. With more than 250 proprietary algorithms, Zoomi provides deep personalized learning, predicts learning and performance, optimizes learning content and links learning to business outcomes.

We are all lifelong learners

In the corporate world, Zoomi can improve employee productivity and satisfaction, increase comprehension and course completion, and provide actionable data for better business results.

In higher education, Zoomi gives colleges and universities the tools to promote performance-driven results that meet or exceed student and instructor expectations, improve overall performance, and predict classroom results.

Zoomi is the eLearning industry’s only suite of SaaS that give organizations the power of artificial intelligence and predictive and prescriptive analytics.
