The first women's team at Villanova was launched in 1968 with tennis. This month Villanova celebrated 50 years of women's sports on campus with a 600-person gala at the Finneran Pavilion.
Track and field standout Nnenna Lynch, Villanova's first Rhodes Scholar and a member of the Board of Trustees, was one of the featured speakers.
