I thought it might be fun to have a weekly thread on everyone's betting choices. If you have time, try to give us a bit of the 'why'.

A thousand years ago when I was young, I got myself into a jam when you could bet on credit and the alcohol flowed freely in the sports bar. Stuck $400 going into the late game? No problem! Give your guy a call and get it all back at 8:00. Nope. Problem. Stuck $800 due Thursday and you only get paid $450 on Friday.

Learned my lesson and now it's $200 pre deposited for the year and $20/week on 3 team parlays. Wait a minute you say, that's only enough for ten weeks. Correct! If I'm not bright enough to get at least one right, I'm done. So far, fingers crossed, it's worked out. I just bet last years profit on Fiske for DROY @ 50:1 and the Rams to win the NFC @ 15:1.

I try to start every year with a list of over-hyped teams, in my mind at least. This year's list;

Baltimore. Lost some really core players on defense as well as their genius DC.

Philly. Lost Kelce and Cox. Hurts isn't the QB they paid for and now they want him to call the defensive coverages. Big pass for now.

Dallas. Zero moves in the off season and disgruntled players all over the place. J Jones thinks he rocks. Shit show.

Green Bay. Not convinced about Love. Yet.

Pittsburgh. Still has no QB.

Chicago. They've already anointed Williams as ROY. I haven't seen anything, yet, to back that up. His back up last year threw for 100 or so touchdowns in his first start in the bowl game last year, and just beat LSU without the two studs Williams had catching passes. Williams' performance in his lone appearance in preseason action was underwhelming.

Cleveland. How long has it been since Watson played good football?

Jets. Rogers looked done his final season with Green Bay. Seems like all the talking heads expect him to be somehow rejuvenated. Nope.

Titans plus 4.5 vs Bears

KC minus 3.5 vs Baltimore
