There isn't a whole lot to do as a Rams fan this year, except wait for the end of the season to see if any coaches get replaced and then wait for April and the draft. So I did a way too early 2023 Rams draft to address the many needs this team has. I watch a lot of college football and I like to think if the Rams would draft some of the guys I like, they might do better. Snead and McVay's picks confuse me often.
So here is my first 2023 Rams draft. Hope ya'll will read it and make up some drafts of your own. The numbers are where we assume the Rams will pick if they continue their downward trajectory.
36 O'Cyrus Torrence G | Florida A big guard who is good at pass blocking and sensational at run blocking.
67 Zach Charbonnet RB | UCLA My favorite RB in the draft. Runs a 4.41 and is very hard to tackle. Can block and catch, too.
144 Adetomiwa Adebawore EDGE | Northwestern Superb edge rusher. 6'2" 275 lbs of fury. He's fast and strong....would really help the pass rush.
169 Nick Broeker OT | Mississippi Tall, quick tackle that can deal with speed and has a mean streak, which I always like as a lineman.
172 Julius Brents CB | Kansas State I would like the Rams to have a tall CB, and this guy is 6'4" with some speed and is a ballhawk to boot. Not afraid to mix it up in the run game, either.
182 Jalen Catalon S | Arkansas Very good in coverage, which I like in a safety.
185 Cade Stover TE | Ohio State Terrific replacement for Higbee. Very fast for a TE and decleats people he blocks. I love this guy.
200 Ruke Orhorhoro DL | Clemson Has quickness and strength, and violent hands. We may need a replacement for Greg Gaines, so I took a DT
210 Trey Palmer WR | Nebraska A burner who tracks the ball well and can run by anybody, but is not small....6 ft 195
223 Olusegun Oluwatimi C | Michigan Very good center...I usually like Big Ten offensive linemen (Bobby Evans notwithstanding), and this guy holds his ground and doesn't get pushed back into the QB
253 Camerun Peoples RB | Appalachian State I don't see Henderson or Akers coming back. and nothing would make me happier than drafting a couple big, fast RBs. Peoples is 6'2" 220, runs like a gazelle, and always falls forward.
