Assyrian is a Southwest Semitic language spoken mainly in Turkey, Iran, Iraq, and Syria. It’s also spoken throughout the large Diaspora. It’s speakers are largely adherent to the Syriac branch of the Orthodox Church. This is a beautiful language that is sadly endangered, and deserves to be revived.
