Fairmont Scottsdale

In Arizona, the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess holds its inaugural “Christmas at the Princess” celebration to usher in the holiday season, a tradition that gets bigger and bigger every year. With lights, ice skating, and a train taking guests on a tour of the resort, this event promises good festive fun for the whole family. Christmas at the Princess will be on through November 27 to December 31, 2019 at the Princess Plaza in North Scottsdale.

What to Expect

Celebrate the joy of the season at this AAA Five Diamond award-winning resort as it transforms into an enchanting winter wonderland during the Christmas at the Princess festival. With so many special events, the hours will vary each night and it's best to check the resort website for updates. It is recommended to go early in the season, and early in the evening to avoid peak-time crowds. In addition to the lights and decorations, the resort is filled with special events and attractions. However, you will have to purchase a wristband in addition to general admission to access the rides and nightly shows.

Ice Skating

Didn't think you could go ice skating in Arizona? Made with real ice, the resort’s 6,000 square foot Desert Ice Skating Rink provides skaters the opportunity to skate surrounded by the beauty of the desert and clear night sky. If you want a more deluxe skating experience, you can rent fire pit tables with s’mores and blankets for the evening.

Photos with Santa

Santa will be at his Secret Headquarters where you can have your family's photo taken and photos are available for immediate pick-up. Santa’s Secret Headquarters welcomes children across the spectrum to a photo environment supportive of their sensory, physical, and developmental needs.

S'moresland

In S'moresland, you'll find lots of rides and tasty food stands. You can roast marshmallows in the Christmas Tree forest, ride the slides at Polar Glide, take a spin on the Christmas Carousel, or ride the ferris wheel. There will also be a Build-A-Bear Pop-Up Shop, so the kids can bring home a new toy.

Winterland

New in 2019, Winterland is the latest addition to the reverie of the season in Scottsdale and it's all about romance. Here you'll find plenty of shining lights, an ice bar serving up hot drinks, igloos, and live performances. If you're looking to have a special experience with your loved one, head to Love Arbor to steal a special moment under the mistletoe.

Holiday Dining and Resort Packages

Enjoy a meal and spend $75 per vehicle at any of the resort’s outlets and you can get complimentary valet parking, general admission, and access to rides and attractions for you and your dining guests. Make sure you make a reservation with any of the Princess' restaurants including Bourbon Steak, Toro Latin Restaurant & Rum Bar, La Hacienda, and Ironwood American Kitchen.

You could also book an overnight stay with the Holiday Resort Package, which includes VIP wristbands, plus complimentary admission and self-parking.
