You may have noticed some posts from our friends at the Strategist on the Cut. They’ll be dropping in every now and again, sharing their expertise on the basics you don’t have time to research and the weird and wonderful things you don’t yet know you need.
I don’t know if you’ve noticed: Black Friday deals are here, and they are plentiful. I’ve been rounding up the best of them in my big hub of Black Friday deals for a few weeks now, but today I’m bringing you an extra-curated selection. Below are the few dozen deals that I think are definitely worth shopping before next week.
I started with the best sellers so far. Strategist readers have been clicking away at all the good Nordstrom Black Friday deals — and I can’t say I blame them, because the discounts and product variety are excellent. And a lot more items were added yesterday, so there’s even more to choose from.
Then, I pulled in the deals from my early Black Friday deals roundup that I personally think are your best bests so far, including a $26 cashmere beanie and the just-released Amazon Kindle. And to top everything off, I scrolled through our archives and best-in-class guides to see if any items were discounted, like a supremely fluffy blanket that’s one of our best under-$200 picks. The result: the top 25 deals to shop right now.
As always, make sure to sign up for the new Strategist Sales Alert newsletter to receive each day’s best deals in your inbox. And if you want even more deals, sign up for our regular email newsletter, which includes deals just for newsletter subscribers.
We spotted this Dyson on sale earlier this month at an unheard-of price of $250, which is half off. But today it reached a new all-time-low price of $230.
One of my top deals from all the sales I’ve looked at is this $26 cashmere beanie from Nordstrom. It’s a deep discount and can be gifted to pretty much anyone (including yourself).
Pricey, but the best deal you’ll find on a cashmere sweater from La Ligne.
Everlane’s early Black Friday sale has some incredible deals, like these pull-on work pants that are only $35.
Our favorite insulated slippers rarely go on sale, and right now they are 30 percent off, which is about as good as you’ll ever find them for.
Senior editor Hilary Reid’s favorite hand cream of all time (that would make a nice gift) is 30 percent off.
I still think these are a great stocking stuffer, especially at just $9 a pop.
Skinfix’s moisturizer is a favorite of beauty columnist and aesthetician Rio Viera-Newton, who says that the very rich, peptide-packed cream is perfect for wintertime.
I definitely don’t need any more mugs, but this wintery one from The Six Bells’ Black Sheep sale is very compelling.
My favorite little baking sheets are 20 percent off. They won’t arrive in time for Thanksgiving but will for Christmas!
Strategist contributor Kiki Aranita’s “lean, mean, bean (and grain) cooking machine” is $80 off.
Here’s a Maison Margiela candle at a price that doesn’t make my eyes water.
An under-$30 gift from Ssense’s winter sale that you can give to your artsy friend.
This kooky (but very cute) lamp is only on sale in the red version, but that’s the one I would have picked anyway.
Casaluna’s bath sheets feel much more expensive than they are — and now they’re even cheaper at just $12. Beauty writer Tembe Denton-Hurst says hers are “very soft, sturdy, dry me pretty quickly,” and wash well.
One of our favorite plush throw blankets that lives up to its “marshmallow” name.
This option looks nice, too, if you’re looking for something more budget-friendly.
This adorable sweater has been a surprise hit with Strategist readers after we added it to our best early Black Friday deals at Nordstrom roundup.
Amazon just released new, upgraded versions of all its Kindles. The Paperwhite, which is our best-in-class e-reader, now has a slightly larger screen and can be charged wirelessly. And it’s $30 off right now as part of Amazon’s big Black Friday sale.
Notably, the new Paperwhite for kids has three new case designs: starfish (pictured here), cyber city, and Diary of a Wimpy Kid.
I’ve had this carry-on suitcase from Calpak for nearly five years and highly recommend it, especially now that it’s under $200. Mine is just basic black, but I also like this limited-edition orchid colorway that sleep writer Amelia Jerden bought for her honeymoon.
Not the most fun buy, but you’ll be glad you got it on sale.
