Ted Nordblum is running for California State Assembly in the 42nd district. Ted is a longtime Conejo Valley resident, small business owner, actor, and martial artist. Raised in a working-class family, Ted learned at a young age the American values of hard work, determination, and self-reliance. After working as a union heavy equipment operator, he opened his own medical device business, where he has worked for over 20 years. Ted is running because he believes you deserve a better California. He will fight for common-sense policies that promote affordability and ensure safe neighborhoods.
Located in Southern California, the 42nd District includes portions of East Ventura County and West Los Angeles County. This includes the communities of Agoura Hills, Bel Air, Brentwood, Calabasas, Hidden Hills, Lake Sherwood, Malibu, Moorpark, Newbury Park, Oak Park, Pacific Palisades, Santa Rosa Valley, Simi Valley, Thousand Oaks, Topanga, Westlake Village, and portions of Camarillo.
Ted currently lives in Newbury Park with his wife, Donna, and his dog and cat, Buddy and Boo.
Californians are facing record-high energy and food prices, and we pay the highest taxes in the nation. The ruling class in Sacramento has broken our state budget, and working families are literally being taxed out of California. As a small businessman, Ted has seen this firsthand, but more importantly, knows how to fix these problems.
As your Assemblyman, Ted Nordblum will fight to:
-
Cut Gas Taxes and Defend the Taxpayer Protections of Proposition 13
-
Balance the State Budget WITHOUT Raising Your Taxes
-
Reduce the Cost of Housing
-
Cut Red Tape and Regulations on Farms and Small Businesses
-
Support Responsible Development of Energy and Water Resources
