Mark R:

I have to say I've heard of Harold Land of course, but I've never really listened to him, I had no idea how great he was, and you've spanned 13 years here, and he's solid throughout. Damn! Well, there are only so many geniuses you can keep track of, I guess.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:18pm
David D:

I thought cycling was involved, but only Doctorjazz can tell us.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:20pm

It would be Harold Land's 90th birthday today, in fact.

Thank you for the personnel--Frank Butler played on some of Coltrane's more out records--alongside Elvin Jones. Kenny Dorham's cool, too. Yes, not familiar with Joey Peters, but he sounded great!

I did, spent a week in Chiang Mai, Thailand, visited the Elephant Rescue Park , then went to Vietnam for 2 weeks, walked in the cities (dangerous enough, the motor bikers are crazy everyone on the road is playing chicken, biking seemed to be suicide) , but biked through the countryside, through some floods. Was crazy but fun Biked about 30+ miles a day.

Day of Triffids! Okay, back to tortillas. Yes, Brian, a good whole wheat ( trigo) is possible, but it is likely you have to make it your self. Not impossible, but it takes a few good cracker like failures to get on point.

I like my grains whole, and processed only by friendly bacteria — not transnational corporations.

Anyway, I have a line on some good bacterial starter, so I'll have to follow up. Thanks, @Franco Twinkie.

Having had two Mexican grandmothers who had uniquely different angles on the tortilla, I can say there is a lot room for interpretation. I love both white and whole wheat.
