This page contains information about the player's batting performance broken down into several categories.
At the top of the page there are the following links:
Player - to the player page Daily - to the batting log page PREV - to the player's previous batting splits NEXT - to the player's next batting splits
The following categories are presented:

* - The RHS and LHS categories will be used when we don't have play-by-play data for a game and not all the pitchers on the opposing team in the game threw from the same side. In those cases, we use RHS if the starter was right-handed and LHS if the starter was left-handed.
For each category, the following information will be included:
G - Games Played (if applicable) AB - At Bats R - Runs Scored H - Hits 2B - Doubles 3B - Triples HR - Home Runs RBI - Runs Batted In BB - Bases On Balls IBB - Intentional Bases On Balls SO - Strikeouts HBP - Hit By Pitch SH - Sacrifice Hits SF - Sacrifice Flies XI - Reached First on Interference ROE - Reached on Error (includes fielder's choices and strikeouts in which no out was recorded) GDP - Grounded in Double Plays SB - Stolen Bases CS - Caught Stealing AVG - Batting Average (H / AB) OBP - On-Base Percentage ((H + BB + HBP) / (AB + BB + HBP + SF)) SLG - Slugging Percentage ((H + 2B + (2 * 3B) + (3 * HR)) / AB)
Note: in the situational statistics, runs scored, stolen bases and caught stealing reflect the totals accumulated during plays starting in that situation. For example, a team or player's run scored with the bases loaded reflect the number of runs scored in plays that began with the bases loaded.
The following abbreviations are used for defensive positions:
P - Pitcher C - Catcher 1B - First Baseman 2B - Second Baseman 3B - Third Baseman SS - Shortstop LF - Left Fielder CF - Center Fielder RF - Right Fielder OF - Outfielder DH* - Designated Hitter PH - Pinch Hitter PR - Pinch Runner H - Entered as PH or PR and Batted Again >1 - (For games without Play-by-play) Played more than one position
* - to avoid double counting DH split only shows stats for PAs when this player starts inning as a DH. Stats when a player PHs or PRs for the DH or bats in the same inning as he entered as a PH or PR for the DH will appear in the PH, PR, or H splits respectively. One exception: the player is always given a Game as a DH if he PHs or PRs for the DH even when the player is removed for a PR immedialtely after he PHs for the DH. Similarly, the H split Games are already counted in either the PH or PR split.
