The Journal of Clinical Psychiatry (JCP), an international peer-reviewed journal, is the official publication of the American Society of Clinical Psychopharmacology. Founded in 1939, JCP is the leading resource providing clinical information on mental health topics to psychiatrists and other medical professionals while exploring the newest advances in diagnosis and treatment. Disorders covered include depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, anxiety, addiction, posttraumatic stress disorder, and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder. A variety of Continuing Medical Education activities are also offered through the CME Institute.

JCP is indexed by the National Library of Medicine and is printed 6 times per year, with new content published online weekly to bring readers the latest insights.

The Primary Companion for CNS Disorders

The Primary Companion for CNS Disorders (PCC) is an international exclusively online peer-reviewed journal. Founded in 1998, PCC seeks to advance the clinical expertise of primary care physicians and other health care professionals who treat patients with mental and neurologic illnesses. PCC publishes research from disciplines such as medicine, nursing, pharmacy, and psychology, especially as it pertains to integrated delivery systems and interdisciplinary collaboration. PCC focuses on providing information of direct clinical utility and giving a voice to clinician researchers. Practice-based research from individuals and groups with clinical expertise is particularly welcome. A variety of Continuing Medical Education activities are also offered through the CME Institute.

The CME Institute has been accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) since 1996. The CME Institute’s mission is to provide target audiences with independent, clinically relevant education about the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the central nervous system. Our continually evolving medical education library includes not only independently developed educational activities but also CME articles from The Journal of Clinical Psychiatry (JCP) and The Primary Care Companion for CNS Disorders (PCC). The CME Institute provides dozens of current activities, most of them for free, in a variety of print and web formats.
