Tell This Girl Scout Cookie Supplier We Want More Vegan Cookies!

Girl Scouts have been selling their famous cookies to raise money for their activities for over 100 years, but many Girl Scout Cookies are made using ingredients that are harmful to animals and the planet. Help us get one of the bakers to make all its cookies vegan—or at the very least, make more of them this way!

Little Brownie Bakers and ABC Bakers are the two main suppliers of Girl Scout Cookies. While ABC Bakers offers six vegan cookie options, Thin Mints are Little Brownie Bakers’ only one. It’s great that Little Brownie Bakers makes Thin Mints without animal-derived ingredients, but why stop there? With so many people choosing to ditch nonvegan foods, there’s never been a better time to add more vegan cookies to the mix.

Why Little Brownie Bakers Should Add More Vegan Girl Scout Cookies

The Girl Scouts’ mission is to empower girls to (among other things) “make the world a better place” and “contribute to the improvement of society.” With more vegan cookie options, Little Brownie Bakers would be living up to that mission by doing the following:

  • Helping to prevent animals from being separated from their families in the egg and dairy industries
  • Helping to prevent chickens and cows from being kept in crowded conditions and then killed once they can no longer lay eggs or make milk
  • Protecting the environment
  • Being inclusive of vegan and lactose-intolerant Girl Scouts and their customers

How You Can Help

Contact Little Brownie Bakers and ask for more vegan cookie options! Get your grown-up’s permission, and then use this form to urge the bakery to make its cookies vegan. (Select “Requests” in the first box, and only fill in the other boxes marked with an asterisk.) You can use the sample message below, but putting your message in your own words will work best:

I’m writing to ask that Little Brownie Bakers offer more vegan Girl Scout Cookies. It’s great that your Thin Mint cookies don’t contain animal-derived ingredients, but with the rise in cruelty-free eating, there’s never been a better time to make all of your cookies vegan—or at the very least, make more of them vegan.

The Girl Scouts’ mission is to empower girls to (among other things) “make the world a better place” and “contribute to the improvement of society.” Offering more vegan cookies would be a great way to be kind to animals, show compassion for all females, help the planet, and be inclusive of vegan and lactose-intolerant Girl Scouts and cookie customers.

By offering more vegan cookie options, your company would reach a wider customer base, as the number of people who identify as vegan has grown—jumping to almost 10 million in the U.S. in 2019. Additionally, offering more kind options would allow you to compete with ABC Bakers, which already offers six vegan Girl Scout Cookie options.

Thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely,

Ask your friends and family to contact Little Brownie Bakers, too!
