(305) 974 in Miami, FL

Text sent asking my name and refused to identify themselves. Clearly a sales/txt camapign start.

I received a text from this number today. He or she wouldn't say who they were after I asked. It think it is a robot.

Texted me wanting me to click on website address. Nope!

Call left on answering machine. VERY garbled but could make out "lawsuit", "Washington, DC", and the phone number. Assumed it was a total scam!

person claims to be from the IRS and left threatening message claiming a lawsuit has been filed against my name and that law enforcement would be coming to pick me up shortly. When asked if he (Steve Watson) was from the IRS he said yes, but would not respond when I asked him to tell me my social security number. This has been reported to law enforcement as a phone scam

THIS IS A TOTAL SCAM!!!!!!!

Yesterday(April 23, 2012), a man named Thomas Curran called my parents' house from this number. He claimed to be an attorney handling check fraud, that I had defaulted on a payday loan, and if I didn't pay what I owed within the hour, a warrant would be issued for my arrest. My mother gave me the message, but she also asked him the name of his firm, to which he replied that it was a "nationwide" company--but still wouldn't give a name. When I talked to him, he claimed I owed money on a payday loan (almost $3,000 dollars--which I knew couldn't be right because I woule have NEVER borrowed THAT much money on a payday loan). He demanded that I call him back with a credit card so I could pay the debt--which he claimed to have reduced to $1,758.00 on my behalf because I had no criminal record. I was scared and shaking-until my mother calmed me down and assured me it was probably a scam. I want this man arrested!
