Welcome and farewell sound on Sonos Ace

It seems my Sonos Ace are lacking the ‘welcoming’ and ‘farewell’ sound when turned on and off or working, well, on and of, at least experienced not indicating this on a regular basis. It’s quite annoying not really knowing if the agre turned on or off. They have been update 1-2 times since i bought them in advance as pre-order at www.sonos.com when launced, recently updated to latest 3.1.4.e16.1c539 version late 2024.

Amazon Music not showing context menu

Why does opening a user created playlist in Amazon Music often not show the 3dot button that takes you to the 5 different choices? Instead there is a single 3dot button that opens a screen with the one choice Save to Sonos Favorites. After enough unnecessary close-open-close-open-open a different playlist-etc. I can finally get the choices used for playing the playlist.

sonos drop outs when streaming music

I run a number of Sonos speakers ( 16) throughout my 3 story home . They are mainly connected through my wireless network. My wireless network consists of 5 WAPS throughout my home and have great connectivity throughout . I have fttp to my home and have a 250/50 NBN plan.my speakers all connect up when I am streaming radio but when I want to stream music from Deezer my speakers cut In and out and I can’t control the volume. I thought this might have something to do with the Sonos app updates as I read this has been not very stable. I live my Sonos system but unfortunately I can’t enjoy all of my various speakers listing to streamed music when I want to .my equipment is2 x arcs - 2 different tv set ups 2 x gen 3 subs4 x Sonos ones 2 x Sonos 52 x Sonos moves2 x Sonos roams2 x Sonos ones1 x Sonos boost hardwired to networkIf anyone has any solutions that would enable me to enjoy my Sonos speakers whilst streaming all music I would greatly appreciate it thank you regards Paul

era 300’s not using rear channels.

Please read/watch this Reddit post about rear speakers not working as intended. Height channels are being used instead. I tested my self on movies and the test tone - the rears are being repurposed for height channels for whatever reason - seems to be a bug. Arc Ultra incompatible with optical

I cannot believe you guys removed the optical input on the Arc Ultra. I had a playbar (which function just dandy by the way) with optical input and bought your hype about how much better the arc Ultra is and I’d get a discount to upgrade. You neglected to mention that the optical input from my system would no longer function and I basically bricked my entire freaking system because I have a Samsung Frame that connects to its controller 25 ft away and brings in optical back to the speaker. You EVEN CHANGED THE FREAKING POWER PLUG and I had to tear my whole TV off the wall just to change out the damn power cord. WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING!?!?!? Guys I can’t begin to tell you how pissed I am right now. I’m going to have to call the sound people who set this up and pay HUNDREDS of dollars just to straighten this crap out. I swear I would love to get my hands on the genius who did this. Especially without putting it ANYWHERE to warn people.

Era 300 surrounds - What happens for non-atmos and music?

I have an arc + 2 subs + 2 One SL’sConsidering going to the era 300’s to enhance the movie experience with the collection I have. But I also play a lot of music off spotify usually, stream netflix/hulu...etc.Currently with my set up I am able to hear sound/music come off of all the speakers.If I upgrade to Era 300’s (as surrounds), it seems like nothing will play on those spekaers at all unless it’s atmos only content? Is that correct? Just going through the reviews and forums.I understand the front driver won’t fire when it’s set up as surrounds which is fine, but to not get any music/sound out of it at all when my One SL’s do is a little crazy. Hope I’m wrong. Can someone tell me what’s up?

Sonos Beam (Gen 2) and Hisense Canvas 65 TV for Dolby Atmos

Hi everyone,I recently purchased a Hisense Canvas 65 Frame TV during the Black Friday sales, it was a great deal! However, I’m now trying to figure out if it will work with my Sonos home theater setup to get Dolby Atmos sound streaming.Here’s my setup:Hisense Canvas 65 (being shipped) Sonos Beam (Gen 2) Era 100s (as surrounds) Mini SubI don’t plan to connect any external devices (like a gaming console or Blu-ray player) to the TV or the sound bar, I stream content directly from the TV apps (Netflix, Apple TV, etc.)When I checked the specs for my new TV, it has two built-in speakers and it says the surround sound supported is DTS Virtual:X and not Dolby Atmos. If I conenct through eARC, will my sonos equipment enable Dolby Atmos content? I’m getting mixed answers online - some people talk about audio passthrough and connecting devices straigh to the sound bar, the Dolby Website says the eARC connection should do it - but does not say if the TV's surround compatibility matters, etc.Can

Arc ultra surrounds connection issues

I am trying to replace my Beam gen 1 home theatre with Arc Ultra soundbar. The two surrounds (gen 1 ones) and Sub Gen 2 will not connect to Ultra, yet have no problem connecting to Beam. I have reset the speakers, connected via ethernet to router and still no luck. Any suggestions? I have contacted tech support and still no luck.

Amazon playlists "QUEUE" is limited to 100 songs on new app.

As of this writing I have seen quite a bit of improvement with the new app. Response, volume control and grouping have been improved. However when using the ‘new’ app and I select one of my Amazon playlists which has an excess of 100 tracks the “queue” in the ‘new’ app will only display 100 tracks.As a test I launched the ‘old’ app on my home PC and when I select a playlist in excess of 100 songs the ‘old’ app and the ‘new’ app show the correct number of tracks. The playlist I selected in the ‘old’ app had 494 tracks.It’s obviously not an Amazon issue and I was wondering if anyone else would be able to verify this as well.Apple Music playlists display the correct number of tracks in both ‘old’ and ‘new’ app.
