Cathy Muse

A native Washingtonian and avid supporter and patron of the arts, Cathy enjoys theater and music of all kinds from buskers on the street to world renowned performers on the Kennedy Center stage.  She grew up in the suburban Washington town of Kensington, Maryland, attended Montgomery County Public Schools and received both her undergraduate and master’s degrees from the University of Maryland.

Cathy has served in public procurement for over 40 years, at the federal, state and local level.  After retiring from Fairfax County, Virginia where she served as the Chief Procurement Officer, Cathy joined the NACo EDGE team to develop procurement solutions for counties and launch Public Promise Procurement.
