Mary Drexler, MSW, is the Program Director for the Maryland Center of Excellence on Problem Gambling, University of Maryland School of Medicine.
Mary brings to her current role over 38 years in the social services field. Prior to joining The Center, Mary held the position of Responsible Gambling Program Coordinator for three (3) years for the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency (MLGCA).
Her responsibilities for MGLCA included overseeing the voluntary exclusion program and ensuring facilities within the Maryland gaming industry engage in responsible gambling practices. Before moving to Maryland, Mary served as Executive Director of the Connecticut Council on Problem Gambling for 10 years, managing the council’s initiatives in problem gambling prevention and intervention. Mary holds a Masters of Social Work degree from the University of Connecticut.
