Author Biographies

Luz E. Gutiérrez is a Full-Time Professor at Universidad de la Costa, Barranquilla, Colombia. She received her degree in Systems Engineering and her M.Sc. in Engineering and Computer Science at Universidad Industrial de Santander, Colombia. She completed her Ph.D. studies in Systems Engineering at Universidad del Norte, Colombia. She has worked as a Research Assistant at Centro de Innovación y Desarrollo para la Investigación en Ingeniería del Software, Bucaramanga. She has also worked as a Software Developer. In addition, she has been a Professor and Dean at several universities in Colombia. Her areas of interest include Software Engineering, Software Development, and Multicriteria Methods.
Carlos A. Guerrero received his degree in Systems Engineering and his M.Sc. in Computing at Universidad Industrial de Santander, Colombia, in 2000 and 2006, respectively. He has a Ph.D. in Engineering from the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana, Colombia. From 1999 to 2006, he worked as a Software Manager at the Innovation and Development Center for Research in Software Engineering, Colombia. He has also worked as a Software Developer and Software Architect from 2000 to the present. In addition, he has been a university Professor at several institutions in Colombia since 2000. In 2018, he became the Dean of the Faculty of Systems Engineering at Universidad Santo Tomás. He is also a Full-Time Professor at Universidad del Magdalena, Colombia. His research interests include Software Architecture, Web-Oriented Software Development, and Cloud Computing.
Mark M. Betts is a Full-Time Professor at the School of Architecture, Urbanism and Design of the Universidad del Norte, Barranquilla, Colombia. He has a Ph.D. in Design from the University of Palermo, and Master in Communicational Design from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Dr. Betts is a member of the Editorial Board of the Scopus Q2 indexed journal Kepes, and is a Research Associate at Minciencias. His areas of interest include: User Experience Design, Information Architecture, Digital Products, and Augmented Reality.
Daladier Jabba has a Ph.D. in Computer Science and an M.Sc. in Computer Engineering from the University of South Florida, Tampa. He is a National & International Resources Liaison Officer of Research, and also Full Professor of the Department of Systems Engineering at Universidad del Norte. Dr. Jabba is a member of the Research Group on Computer Networks and Software Engineering - Grecis. His areas of interest includes routing protocols in wireless sensor networks, RPL protocols, and IoT architecture.
Wilson Nieto obtained his Systems Engineering degree and a specialization in Software Engineering from the Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS). He holds a Master of Education from North University (UNINORTE) and is an expert in Technology Management, certified by ULPGC in Palmas GC, Spain. In 2007, he completed his Doctorate at ULPGC with cum laude distinction. As a researcher and consultant in computer science and management science, he specializes in a range of topics, including organizational transformation, digital transformation, enterprise architecture, organizational process modeling, corporate strategy, and governance. His expertise extends to advanced data analysis, leveraging cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data, data warehousing, and data mining to drive impactful insights and innovation.
Héctor A. López-Ospina (MSc, PhD) is an Assistant Professor at the Facultad de Ingeniería y Ciencias Aplicadas of the Universidad de los Andes, Chile. He is a Mathematician with an M.Sc. in Applied Mathematics from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia. He holds a Ph.D. in Engineering Systems from Universidad de Chile. His research interests include mathematical modeling, transportation modeling, operations research, optimization and multi-criteria analysis.
