The Sour Bunch is an acting theater troupe of anthropomorphic purple grapes led by Grape and are the main antagonists of Princess Peach: Showtime!, where they take over the Sparkle Theater. Unlike the Theets, the Sour Bunch do not have visible noses.

Their name, alongside Grape's, plays on the phrase "sour grapes" which reference Ancient Greek theater's celebrations to honor Dionysus, the god of wine and theater.[1]

They consistently refer to Grape as "Madame Grape", a name that is a running theme throughout the game to identify characters who have bad intentions.

Most types of them can be defeated with Sparkle if they are encountered prior to getting a transformation, but a few of them can only be defeated by other means, including the cowboys in Cowgirl in the Wilderness and the guards in Ninjutsu: The Art of Rapids.

The only subcategory of Sour Bunch members to be referred to by name in first-person dialog boxes where they themselves speak are in the Detective Peach levels, where they are named Criminal, who in turn collectively organize as Sour Gang instead of Sour Bunch.
