Sports Reference is thrilled to announce that our college basketball site now has women's statistics all the way back to 1981-82, the first season of NCAA-sanctioned women’s basketball. 🏀 We would like to thank Jessica Gelman, Daryl Morey and the great folks over at the Sloan Sports Analytics Conference for their grant, which enabled us to purchase this data. This would also not have been possible without the hard work of our 2024 Data Intern Madeline Brown, who did an incredible job working through the many discrepancies that you find in an imperfect dataset such as 1980's college basketball statistics.
