It was another incredible #HockeyFightsCancer night presented by CIBC at Canadian Tire Centre on Tuesday night filled with a sea of purple #Sens jersey and "I Fight For" cards to showcase who we are all fighting for. On top of a night of sharing the stories of those who are or have been fighting this terrible disease, the Senators Community Foundation was able to raise over $180,000 for children's oncology and pediatric care. Sparty and some #Sens alumni had a blast tagging along with the Senators Community Foundation to Tim Hortons today to kick off the Holiday Smile Cookie campaign! Grab a smile cookie until Nov. 24 and help make an impact our community with proceeds going towards the Senators Community Foundation to fund food security, housing stability, and mental health programs right here in Ottawa-Gatineau. 🙂🍪

This past week the Ottawa Senators Hockey Club hosted 16 grade nine students from across the Ottawa/Gatineau region for ‘Take Our Kids to Work Day’!    Students participated in a variety of interactive and informative activities that provided a glimpse into working in the world of sports! The students spent a majority of the day asking questions and hearing from many of our leaders including Ian Mendes, Kati Parrott, Martin Ballard, Brendan Du Vall, Chelsea McDermott, and Sean McCauley regarding their different roles in sport business and their journey to their current roles! Thanks to Bill Ellam for facilitating the in-depth tour of the Canadian Tire Centre building where students were able to see all the ‘behind the scenes’ that contribute to a successful game night production. Lastly, students were able to join their parents for the second half of the day to see what a day in the life is like while working for the Ottawa Senators!   Thank you to all the presenters, helpers, and students who made this day such a success!

Sparty celebrated his birthday last weekend and it wouldn't have been possible without our partners at Dairy Farmers of Ontario. We also had a great time finding creative ways to integrate our brands and offer our fans a great time. Fans got to enjoy our Milk Wall on the plaza during Sparty's Birthday Bash and free chocolate milk to the first 500 #Sens fans in attendance. We were also able to showcase some of Sparty's birthday cards around the Sparty's Favs ice cream concession on the 200L concourse and finally once the puck dropped we played a branded game of tic-tac-toe on the ice during first intermission and then a game of Find the Mascots during a TV timeout in the second period.
