Excited to share that our Director Hamed Alemohammad, received an award from Taylor Geospatial Institute and Amazon Web Services (AWS) to advance GenAI models for future land cover projections to support sustainable land use planning and climate resilience strategies. This will be a collaborative project between Clark Center for Geospatial Analytics and Washington University in St. Louis working with Nathan Jacobs, Sam Khallaghi, Srikumar Sastry, and Daniel Cher
Determined to advance the use of #generativeAI for #geospatial, we partnered with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to launch a Challenge that awards $1 million in AWS credits for novel, collaborative projects that fuse those technologies. The response was immense, with 55 teams of 206 geospatial scholars, practitioners, and entrepreneurs submitting imaginative proposals for using generative AI and geospatial to solve real-world problems. Today we are proud to announce twelve amazing awardees.
