Right now, it is raining in Arlington, TX. Here is a radar image of the storm that is currently dumping raindrops all over Globe Life Park.
That is a not small storm. However, the forecast shows that the rain is likely to abate by ~7pm PST, so we'll probably still get a game in tonight. This is good! I want this storm to pass quickly because I like baseball and I would like to watch the Mariners play tonight. However, after looking at the lineup that Lloyd is planning to run out against Gallardo, it probably wouldn't be the worst thing ever for this game to be rained out.
Seth Smith instead if Cruz at DH (again)? No. Ruggiano batting leadoff and in center field? Weird. Weeks in left? Blech. Willie playing at all and not batting ninth? WHY.
Lloyd is clearly tinkering with things in an attempt to jump start this team and while this could work, this lineup doesn't make me feel particularly confident/comfortable. Taijuan Walker was less awful in his most recent start, which was nice, but Gallardo shutdown the Mariners earlier this year so we could be in for a long night... but baseball is weird so maybe that won't happen.
GOMs!
