Scott Diamond vs. Felix Hernandez.

USA TODAY Sports

Mike Zunino is out for a while, but some guy named Humberto is on his way to Seattle. Anybody else want to see Blanco stub a toe or something so we can see Ibanez put on the catcher's gear?

Even though the Mariners are rolling out Bay at leadoff to go along with Brendan Ryan, and Henry Blanco at the bottom of the order, it's still Felix Hernandez day. The rest of the Mariner lineup has provided enough fireworks over the past month that for the first time in what feels like forever (hint: it isn't), having two black holes at the bottom of the lineup doesn't feel totally hopeless.

Felix gets an outfield of Raul Ibanez, Dustin Ackley, and Jason Bay behind him. Gulp. Be amazing.

They get to face Scott Diamond, who I discussed in the series preview. He's having a crap year, and if you click the link I'll tell you why!

It's one of the most perfect days of weather this city can give, it's Friday night, and Felix Hernadez is on the mound. No stupid hamate bone is going to spoil this. Do you know they remove the hamate bone in surgery, stupid bone? They take that shit right out. Joke's on you, turd.
