David Bush - 26 years old - RH Starting Pitcher
The Toronto Blue Jays are shopping the right hander after signing AJ Burnett earlier this week. They are reportedly looking for a bat at first or bullpen help in exchange for his services.
Bush posted a respectable GB/FB ratio this season and pitched in one of the better hitter parks in the AL. His ML numbers aren't jaw dropping but his minor league number indicate that the guy knows how to pitch. While he isn't a top of the rotation guy, he is a pitcher with upside who at his best will be a quality #3, possibly #2. And at his worst, he will still be better than Franklin and Meche.
The Blue Jays will probably ask for Soriano (which won't happen). He will at least cost Mateo and a minor leaguer, possibly something along the lines of Mateo and Livingston might get the job done.
The M's need another SP and Bush would be as good a fit as you will find in the current trade market.
