The Rangers have hired 2023 NL Manager of the Year Skip Schumaker as a senior adviser in the front office and former Marlins bench coach Luis Urueta as, well, a bench coach.
Schumaker is likely a “manager in waiting” of sorts, with the person who was understudy to Bruce Bochy left the organization for another managerial job.
Chris Young from doing GM meetings things to speak to the media, but not about anything of substance.
And given that nothing else notable is going on today, that’s all I’ve got.
