Exposure Versus Cognitive Restructuring Techniques in Brief Internet-Based Cognitive Behavioral Treatment for Arabic-Speaking People With Posttraumatic Stress Disorder: Randomized Clinical Trial

Exposure Versus Cognitive Restructuring Techniques in Brief Internet-Based Cognitive Behavioral Treatment for Arabic-Speaking People With Posttraumatic Stress Disorder: Randomized Clinical Trial

For internet-delivered interventions combining exposure and cognitive methods for Arabic-speaking people with PTSD, dropout rates of approximately 37% have been reported [26]. Similar dropout rates were found when only providing exposure treatment for this population [11], highlighting the need for additional treatment options without a focus on exposure.

The Influence of Greenspace Exposure on Affect in People With and Those Without Schizophrenia: Exploratory Study

The Influence of Greenspace Exposure on Affect in People With and Those Without Schizophrenia: Exploratory Study

As such, evidence of an association between greenspace exposure and the incidence of serious mental illness is mixed. Ambulatory assessments supported by mobile technologies may help clarify the relationship between greenspace exposure and mental health in those with and without mental illness.

Health Apps for Combating COVID-19: Descriptive Review and Taxonomy

At the individual level, as these health apps’ popularity rises, the opportunity has increased for consumers and patients to self-manage both their risk of exposure and symptom progression [8,9].

Development of a Virtual Reality Exposure Tool as Psychological Preparation for Elective Pediatric Day Care Surgery: Methodological Approach for a Randomized Controlled Trial

Development of a Virtual Reality Exposure Tool as Psychological Preparation for Elective Pediatric Day Care Surgery: Methodological Approach for a Randomized Controlled Trial

However, scientific literature shows that gradual exposure is a much more effective way to reduce anxiety in children than mere distraction [15]. Due to busy clinical practices and the daily use of surgery rooms, exposing children to all pre- and postoperative aspects is often not feasible. Virtual reality exposure (VRE) offers the possibility to expose children of different ages to a highly realistic virtual environment that mimics the operating theater of a hospital.

Impact of Ophthalmic Knowledge Assessment Program Scores and Surgical Volume on Subspecialty Fellowship Application in Ophthalmology Residency: Retrospective Cohort Study

There were no differences between the groups regarding the degree of exposure to neuro-ophthalmology in medical school, the presence of a dedicated neuro-ophthalmology rotation in residency, or the rotation timing [9].

Understanding the Occurrence and Fate of Atmospheric Microplastics and Their Potential Risks to Human Health: Protocol for a Cross-Sectional Analysis

Understanding the Occurrence and Fate of Atmospheric Microplastics and Their Potential Risks to Human Health: Protocol for a Cross-Sectional Analysis

Understanding the extent of environmental exposure to plastic additives and consequential health outcomes would provide valuable knowledge and help to develop effective control measures. The fundamental objective of this study is to determine the extent of environmental and human health consequences resulting from exposure to plastics (microplastics) and their associated additives.

Evaluation of an Intrahospital Telemedicine Program for Patients Admitted With COVID-19: Mixed Methods Study

Evaluation of an Intrahospital Telemedicine Program for Patients Admitted With COVID-19: Mixed Methods Study

To our knowledge, telemedicine in the hospital has not been extensively used and studied with the explicit purpose of reducing infection exposure and PPE use. If intrahospital telemedicine (virtual care) is an option, providers and patients have a choice on whether to conduct an in-person evaluation or virtual evaluation for a given interaction.

Barriers and Facilitators for the Use of a Medical Mobile App to Prevent Work-Related Risks in Pregnancy: A Qualitative Analysis

Barriers and Facilitators for the Use of a Medical Mobile App to Prevent Work-Related Risks in Pregnancy: A Qualitative Analysis

For instance, working long hours in a day or working night shifts, physically demanding work, stress, and chemical, pharmaceutical, or biological exposure can potentially cause preterm birth, low birthweight, spontaneous abortion, stillbirth, and fetal abnormalities [3-9]. Pregnant women are often unaware of potential work-related risks to their pregnancy [10]. Estimations are that only 25% of employed pregnant women receive adequate counseling on work-related risks during their pregnancy [11].

Risk of De Novo Hypertensive Disorders of Pregnancy After Exposure to PM1 and PM2.5 During the Period From Preconception to Delivery: Birth Cohort Study

Risk of De Novo Hypertensive Disorders of Pregnancy After Exposure to PM1 and PM2.5 During the Period From Preconception to Delivery: Birth Cohort Study

A recent Chinese study showed that fine PM exposure during the first trimester was associated with the risk of HDPs [13]. On the other hand, an American study indicated that fine PM exposure increased the development of HDPs during the second trimester rather than the first trimester [14]. This inconsistency may originate from differing study populations and exposure concentrations. Moreover, it has become imperative to draw attention to fine PM exposure before pregnancy.

Individual-Level Evaluation of the Exposure Notification Cascade in the SwissCovid Digital Proximity Tracing App: Observational Study

Individual-Level Evaluation of the Exposure Notification Cascade in the SwissCovid Digital Proximity Tracing App: Observational Study

EN: exposure notification. We presented the results for the study population overall and stratified by exposure setting as reported by the contact (ie, same-household, nonhousehold, and unknown settings). We additionally reviewed the contacts' free-text responses regarding their steps taken after receiving the EN. Responses were thematically coded and descriptively analyzed based on their context.
