Supplies

Supplies

Ingredients:

  1. 12 strawberries
  2. 1/2 cup of frosting (doesn't have to be exact)
  3. 12 Brownie bites
  4. Cocoa Puffs, Reese's Puffs, Red Hots, etc.

Tools/Equipment:

  1. Piping Bag
  2. Toothpicks (may or may not need them)

Step 1: Prep the Strawberries

Prep the Strawberries

Begin by rinsing and drying the strawberries. Then slice off each of the green stems. Make the cut as flat as possible because that is what will sit on the top of the mini brownie.

Step 2: Frosting Time

Frosting Time

Add some frosting to the top of each of the brownie bites. You can use storebought brownie bites or use this homemade brownie recipe and bake them in the mini muffin pans. Then add a sliced strawberry on top of each one.

NOTE: If you plan on making the brownies from scratch, make sure the brownies have cooled completely before assembling the gnomes. If needed chill them in the fridge for a bit first.

Step 3: Finish the Christmas Gnomes

Now add a little frosting on the front for the beard and attach a red hot, cocoa puff, or Reese's puff to it for the nose. You could add candy eyes too if you wanted to instead of having the "hat" covering the eyes.

TIP: If the strawberry keeps sliding off the brownie, you can use a toothpick to keep them in place, just let your guests know if there is a toothpick in there.
