Scorched Earth (2018)
Scorched Earth MFer (Less Grossman)
I'll keep it simple. I love Gina, I love apocalypse movies. This is a VERY good B movie, B+
I'd watch again.
Torden (2020)
Great Odin's Raven!!
Man that caught me by surprise! I went in blind hoping to be entertained at best, what I got out of it was an excellent ride with a payoff I secretly hoped for but didn't expect. If you're a fan of this genre I highly recommend! If you watched and came here and gave a 1 star, well I'm sure Kevin Hart or Adam Sandler will do a new movie soon, be patient
Gretel & Hansel (2020)
I worry about you Bev
Nice little reimagining, I enjoyed it.
I don't understand the "so boring" I guess the iPhone generation is just doomed. But if you can unplug for 90 min and appreciate a film like us old hags over 40. Give it a watch.
Hostile (2017)
Totally watchable
I'd give it a 6.5 but I'll round up.
I rather enjoyed this film, it had a micro cast but the two mains did a fine job. If you like Zombie/infection films its totally worth the 83 min runtime. As far as the ending (NO SPOILERS) I think it's a bit more open to interpretation than most people think.
PS. Even if you thought it was the greatest movie ever made. It's still 83 min of your life you'll never get back. (Sorry that's just a reviewer's pet peeve of mine)
Devil in the Dark (2017)
Descent but...
Good acting, good atmosphere.
But it was basically Descent without the monsters. Worth a watch. (Yes 5/10 is worth a watch, I'm not holier than thou)
Soul to Keep (2018)
Hear me out 😜
I liked the intro, I liked the whole deaf aspect and that all the friends could sign and that you don't need a voice to banish demons. The plot was ok. You can do a lot worse (trust me) worth a watch if you can watch horror 365 and you're bored.
Suspiria (2018)
I'll keep it short.
No spoilers here so I'll only say why all the confusion?!! I ain't the sharpest knife in the drawer but I thought the story unfolds in a pretty explanatory way. 🤷♂️
I seen the original years ago and honestly don't remember much cause I didn't enjoy it (yea I said it)
Anyway the movie was creepy, probably a 2 1/2 hr. Hollywood satanic ritual, I enjoyed the story and the cast was fantastic. Probably won't be a sequel but I'd definitely watch.
Monster Hunter (2020)
Good fun!
No need for a long review, this is a "popcorn movie" good fun, good monsters and the beautiful Milla Jovovich!
The Mandela Effect (2019)
Pretty good
As someone who has looked into this quite a bit I thought it was a pretty entertaining scifi movie.
I'm not a firm believer in it but also don't discredit it. Far as just a movie it was an enjoyable 83 min.
Grave Encounters 2 (2012)
Not as bad as most say
This is a fine follow up to a surprisingly good first film. The first act is kind of annoying and expectations drop, but I think the second act saves it to quite a decent film. It has a lot of the same twist and turns as the first but with something new at the end I really liked. It's a quite watchable horror movie for someone like me who would watch one 365.
DeepStar Six (1989)
Not bad!
I've been watching a lot of older movies lately since the scamdemic has shut down movie production. This one is one of the better low budget one's I've seen. It had Aliens and Meg feel for me. All the cast was good and they did the best they could on a budget, I liked it.
The Cloverfield Paradox (2018)
Don't get the hate.
Well I liked it! I thought it tied in with the other movies well, really good cast, good story.
I'm not a movie snob, I'm not going to poke holes in every little detail. Sci-fi/Horror is one of my favorite genres and it checked the boxes for me!
