You know reading one or two bad reviews one after another but OMG this movie had bad review after bad review after watching this movie. COME ON THEY ALL CAN'T BE WRONG!!! I'm not even going to waste my time watching this movie as there are too many bad reviews about it in here.... I guess watch at your own peril of boredom lol.
I was pleasantly surprised how this family played by actors is exactly how family actually live in reality. Both siblings Zak (played by Jack Lowden) and his sister Paige aka Saraya (played by Florence Pugh) dreams are to get chosen to train with the best WWE wrestlers in the U.S as this is what they both have trained for by what looks like by their parents in the opening fighting scenes in the ring shows Paige getting hammered by her mum!
The day comes for both siblings Zak and Paige to try out for their dream to wrestle in the U.S with the best!!! Zal is ABSOLUTELY POSITIVE by his performance and because of his experience he is confident he will get chosen and he also has high hopes for his sister Paige. After their try outs they both wait in anticipation for the scout (played by Vince Vaughn) to tell them the good news The scout selected 1 alright and not the one you would expect considering the lead up to the try outs. He only chose Paige and as the loyal sister would do Paige questioned why her brother hadn't been chosen as well and fought for his honor. As older brothers do Zak reminds her of it being their dream and he wants her to go to the U.S and show them how it's done in England. When Zak is by himself you could see his hopes draining from his eyes and I guess as hurt does you want to do stupid things which he does but Paige tried to ring him many times from the U.S as Zak always knows how to make her feel better about her decisions as Paige doesn't have the confidence Zak does. To her dismay her big brother never picks up and if he does he always cuts the phone calls short so Paige doesn't hear the disappointment in his voice.
Well people... like I said for the NON WRESTLING FANS TOO! Have a watch I promise you will be as surprised as I was when I watched this movie. It's more about how the family unit cope together and while Paige is in the U.S and also about how Paige copes without her family who have been by her side every day teaching her the skill set she knows today. I really enjoyed this movie and I AM DEFINITELY NOT A WRESTLING FAN!!!

It's starts off with a group of people waiting at this food cart. One of the guys Cass is the owner of the club they're waiting to get into to. His only other male friend of the group is loud and thinks he's funny but he loves being the centre of attention. Ok if you have the owner of the club you're wanting to get into why are you waiting by a food cart? Come on he's the owner! I lost interest in the movie right then. This chick Free stops at the cart for a sandwich to which she's commences eating it sitting by herself by this group. Cass goes up to talk to her she tells him she;s ok so he walks away and the group head towards the club next minute she's joining them which is fine. But they get into the club and it's clear Cass is interested in her but he nearly kisses her trying to ask her a question and she awkwardly takes off to the ladies. He goes and he finds her and they start kissing then she freaks out cause he's wanting more and she takes off out of the club. He goes looking for her and she's clearly not impressed so they spat and he goes back toward the club but she gets hit on by 2 aggressive guys and he goes to defend her and because he's black the cops restrain him until she explains it was the other white guys who have since taken off that were harrassing her and he came to her defense. What did it for me was when the cops left? He turns to walk back to the club but she won't let him and she's got her hands all over him treating him like he's her boyfriend. COME ON YOU WIRED WRONG CHICK!!! One minute she seemed like a good girl who is very responsible not drinking type of girl, very intelligent who could hold her own and not let anyone walk over her then by the click of the fingers she turned into a man eating maniac until he wanted to take it to more then she freaked out leaving the club. That's fine but when he finds her outside supposedly trying to catdch a ride home they end up in a spat cause all she wanted was the frenzic passionate kissing but nothing more and he did so he walks back toward the club and he hears arguing and goes back to defend her honor from these 2 guys who are hitting on her and she's clearly upset trying to get away from her. The cops see the fighting and they restrain Cass cause he's black and they assume off the bat he's the one who's harrassing Free and the 2 guys who happen to be white they let go they let go. They keep Cass pinned to the wall until Free explains he had come to her defense as the other 2 they had let go who were the ones harassing her. When the cops leave he's angry and turns to walk back to the club again and again like a switch went off in her head she stops him and has her hands all over him like she's his girlfriend and wanting him to talk to her like they're a couple or besties WHAT??? COME ON YOU CONFUSED WEIRDO CHICK! MAKE YOUR MIND UP!!! Aaaaand that's when this film completely lost me and I couldn't stand to watch anymore of it. She CONFUSED THE HELL OUT OF ME AND BECAUSE OF HER TO-ING AND FRO-ING I WANT YOU/I DON'T WANT YOU ATTITUDE IT MADE THE MOVIE SLOOOOOW! Watch at your own risk... You've been INFORMED
