Private Eyes (2016)
Pretty much just like Castle
The premise is pretty close to Castle, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. You've got a "famous" bad boy teaming up with badass female Cop, although she is a PI in this. Shade even has a smart daughter who he has deal deal with growing up just like on Castle. The show is more of a "kiddie" version though. My biggest negative is Angela's character development. In Castle the writers let you know that Beckett knew she was in love with Castle while they strung you along, but she couldn't deal with those feelings, but at the same time further developed the character. On Private Eyes the writing/plot send the way Angela acts in directions that don't really make sense for her character and relationship with Shade, all the while you dont know what she is really feeling. It's a little frustrating.
Game of Thrones: The Bells (2019)
What a waste!
No plot, just a bunch of money wasted on CGI that could have been put to better use. This episode is probably the worst of the series not only for being bad itself but for taking away budget from other episodes. There was only one good death, every other main character death was garbage and a let down.
Roswell, New Mexico (2019)
Why?
Why you gotta involve politics? This show makes me want to vote for trump in 2020. And I really dont want to vote for trump. Just leave all that crap at the door. The purpose is to entertain not indoctrinate the audience with whatever side of politics you follow like a sheep (left or right, I dont care). This show also should have improved on all the bad stuff the original had but it's worse. Acting/writing is pretty subpar.
The Order (2019)
S1 ending is bad.
The show is decent if you're a fan of TVD types shows where the acting, writing, and plot aren't great but the fantasy is what keeps you interested. It's got magic and werewolves which has been done a million times. I found it watchable. The ending of season 1 is absolutely garbage though, the writing and plot is so lazy and just bad in the last 30 minutes that it wrecks my memory of the show.
Whiskey Cavalier (2019)
Not what I was expecting.
I thought this would be somewhat like castle which I wouldn't mind unlike some people, but its far from that. Unfortunately the writing is pretty bad and the way its edited with the voice over is terrible. I'll probably watch at least a few more episodes but I doubt the show will be renewed let alone stay on air for long. Also, the guy randomly shoots into the air multiple times in the pilot. What the hell is up with that?
Cruise (2018)
Terrible movie.
Quit half way through. From the acting to the writing this movie is a disaster. Emily cannot act in any capacity and should pursue many classes or discontinue acting roles. I'm assuming she gets hired for her looks but it can't be worth it. The lead guy was also mediocre.
Sierra Burgess Is a Loser (2018)
Netflix is trash. Swap the genders and its sexual assault.
This movie was funny dumb. In the current political climate where woman are coming out as being raped, sexually abused, and so forth all I could think was how different it would be if the genders were swapped. She kissed the dude while he thought it was another girl. Is that not wrong? Consent and dynamics? That's what the whole #metoo movement is about right? And then it's a happy ending lol! What a joke! Then the whole catfish and the stalking and the whatever else. Wow.
Jack Ryan (2018)
Its decent
Worth the watch IMO, even tho the first half is much better. Many have said its too vulgar. What? i personally enjoy when tv reflects real life better, and the average person is going to say the f word once in a while. Started out pretty good and then got less interesting but i still enjoyed it. one guy said it has "anti-american" rhetoric but that's to be expected when the show is about the CIA wreaking house on terrorists at whatever cost, i didn't find it too distasteful and i'm as patriotic as the next guy.
Brawl in Cell Block 99 (2017)
Nice and simple
Simple plot and writing but pretty well done. Found it to be a little slow in some parts but overall worth the watch. Saw some say the fight scenes were bad but i think they're just used to over the top marvel CGI sequences, while its not perfectly choreographed its not terrible imo and is more 'real' compared to what you see in most modern movies.
Supergirl (2015)
Poor acting and writing and FX and everything
There are very few shows with worse full cast acting than this. I mean personally i think it is unbearable to watch due to how bad these actors act! Storylines are pretty boring and uneven. Writing is juvenile. Definitely the worst show in the arrowverse and i don't see how its in the 6 star range on imdb. They need to cut ties and start fresh with a new, maybe less known superhero (one that can be done justice with their budget) and this time put some effort into casting and writing.
Life (2007)
What a shame.
So sad this got cancelled. Really great spin on a cop series. I'm actually mad this only has two seasons.
Reverie (2018)
Wanted to like this show.
I really like sarah for her energy even though she isn't the best actor. I really wanted to like this show because the concept is kinda cool although not new. The problem here is it's just kinda boring and i assume its because the overall idea is hard to put into the reality of tv. I also don't see this show lasting due to not being sustainable long term.
Lucifer: Quintessential Deckerstar (2018)
Finally.
Finally an episode this season that progressed the storyline, and wasn't complete trash. Hopefully they write at this level from now on because this whole season has been garbage.
Lucifer (2016)
Completely different from first season... Season 3 = 2/10
First season wasn't perfect but overall pretty good, and well worth the watch. season 2 wasn't as good but again worth the watch in my opinion. season 3 though has totally changed the show in a bad way. Its to the point where i haven't watched the last 5 eps. in season 1 Lucifer was like a "castle" or "mentalist" in regards to a cop procedural with a "badass" leading guy who brought a little something different to the table(i.e. him being the devil and doing the desire thing) without being a cop. Season 3 tossed that out almost fully where the show is unrecognizable. its all about some 3 way love triangle between the main characters and lucifers non-existent powers. hopefully they realize this mistake and change it back, but my hopes are low.
NCIS: Los Angeles (2009)
Decent plot but Why is it titled NCIS?
Usually i would give this show a 4 or 5 out of 10 because it has nothing to do with the navy/marines 90% of the time which makes you wonder why its named NCIS in the first place. The action is pretty terrible as in it looks pretty fake (everything is exploding and the guns have zero recoil which makes no sense). But the characters and their dynamics make up for the bad a little bit. The arching storylines involving the individuals are best in my opinion compared to the singular episode one offs. Linda hunt is very good while every one else's acting could use work but i got past it. I watch it to eat up time but am not super invested.
The OA (2016)
Slow burn But well done. 7.5
Definitely worth a watch, Not much excitement but overall well made with a interesting storyline. The characters are believable and do a good job of portraying the emotions. It's one of those shows that has some ambiguous stuff going on where you don't really know 100% what it means, and some people do not find that compelling. I found the show to be fascinating and while slow burning its not boring in my opinion. I'd say if you aren't somewhat interested by the first episode you probably wont change your mind by watching more because of the way its set up. Rate it 7.5 if i could.
Deception (2018)
The leads bring it down along with dry plot.
Based on pilot: Unfortunately the Leads that have been casted are not good actors. The female lead is especially bad.
