Northern Mysteries: Manipogo (2006)
Whenever I hear "Lake Monster"
I think Oarfish or Oar Fish. Sturgeon is a very ugly big fish that could fit in some ways also.
You can find a picture of Navy SEALS holding a 23 foot oarfish.
This really is an interesting tv series.
Very thought-provoking on different theories.
Ghosts, Disappearance, Murder, Science, Mysteries, Boogies and Monsters.
And so forth and so on.
There will be at least one topic or story that will interest your fancy.
I, personally don't give a hoot about aliens or UFOs. But if that is your jam, so be it. I'm sure you will find something interesting on the subject in one of the episodes.

Mixture
Between Lifetime channel and Hallmark. A big clue would have been the God Zone ministry at the beginning. Like most people, I don't watch the beginning credits.
The outside of the house and yard kept changing. Which really drop me nuts. How many times can a bush grow in a 12 hour period. The house outside was small with a small porch. The house outside was big with an enclosed porch and shrubbery. Oh look, a fence that appeared between 2 scenes.
The wife drove me nuts. I didn't like her character at all.
He got up way too late in the morning to be working in lumber.
What was the drunk for?
See No Evil: Alaska Serial Killer (2023)
Alaska Serial Killer
This episode frustrated me.
I'm sitting there yelling at the screen, but nobody listens to me. As usual, when I am yelling at a show or movie.
I keep telling them to grab the taxi. Take a look at the camera footage from the taxi. The taxi driver drove straight at him after the first murders. The taxi driver would at least of seen his face.
It may have helped to prevent the shooting and subsequential death of the other young people.
I just wanted to grab their ties and beat them around the head for not doing that.
I've been a long time viewer of the series. Really frustrates me, this one..
American Horror Story: Inside (2021)

~I call horse puck on this episode. If aliens are advanced enough to impregnate a male. They know how to use anesthesia and remove the fetus with surgery. That way the person doesn't die or experience pain.
~You don't let it claw it's way out. This is not "Alien". This made the episode full of bull puck. The writers should be sued for such trash.
~ Instead of just sued, maybe shot in the foot instead. This is really lousy writing.
~ The series has gone down hill a lot over the years.
~ It went from "WOW" to "What were they thinking?" The powers that be should have done a better job with this.
Jukai Mura (2021)
There is no village
There's only a box.
With fingers, which makes no sense at all.
Take the box to the forest, dump it out, burn it. No more box of gross .
If mom lost 2 fingers AFTER she died & granny lost one. Why didn't they take M out of the forest? Why did her sister have to? Mom & granny were already dead & there.
There was a village a hundred of years ago. But not when this took place.
Could have been a lot better with more explanations.

Had no reason
To kill off Sharon while that stupid woman wouldn't stop yelling at her. The should have kept Sharon Rader until the last episode. They already killed off Taylor. One of the worse episodes out there.
True Blood (2008)
Rather watch Midnight, Texas
The first season was strong.
The Second was good.
After that I stopped watching. Started watching it again recently. Thank goodness for fast forward.
It was really bad this second viewing. Took stars away.
Not gonna say more, 'cause everyone has their beliefs.
Loved Lafayette all the way through. His character was solid. Sadden me when the actor who played him died.
Would rather be watching Midnight, Texas.
Downton Abbey (2010)

One star off for Killing 3 of the wrong people.
They could have kept it at 1 or 2, but now 3. They should have left Matthew alone.
One point off for have 3 of the wrong people live & not die a horrible death. The teacher & maid both should have had some really bad things happen to them. The teacher should have had her tongue cut out for no manners.

Nothing was explained . We never find out the answers to many questions. Some of the story line were very weak. Take it back & rewrite it. It could have been good, but it wasn't.

Hate the main character
The character June/offred is a thoroughly disgusting character with a bad attitude.
I just wanted her killed off and focus on a new handmaid.
I did like Aunt Lydia and Rita.

I remember watching this as a child on tv. The thought of being stuck under water with mean men gave me nightmares. I didn't understand why people wanted to stay, at the time.

The two best parts were the Bear and Adam Beach. There was too little of Adam Beach.

Abigail Haunting (2020)

It made no sense what so ever, for Abigail to haunt Katie.
Katie did nothing to her.
If Abigail did kill herself, she shouldn't be haunting Marge either.
Just burn down the place and go.
It had a very bad ending.
The Curse of La Llorona (2019)
Was a stupid movie
She should have went after her husband and the other woman.
Killing herself and the children, just left her husband free to have a happy life.
I'd rather see a movie about a Native American legend.

Started out strong
Good middle, going somewhere with the haunting.
Then the End, It was weak. The ending ruin the whole movie. Had to take stars off for that. There needed to be a bit more haunting and story line.
4 stars are very generous.

Eyes is wrong name for this movie
The first 2 minutes drove me nuts trying to figure out who was dead and who wasn't. You know movies like these always have them. I got everything figured out and set back to watch what I hoped to be an interesting movie.
Oh, Boy. I was wrong. My hopes were dashed.

HT missed her bus. Her best friend, N, waited for her. N got on second bus to school, no HT. We all know what happen to that bus. Geek Boy didn't get on the bus, changed the fate of N. Like GB is the center of the universe.
HT holds her head and screams while in class. Sees best friend.
CM doesn't care about the bus crash or anything in this movie. Just the English letters that keep appearing by the door. It also appears on neighbors door plates, but she doesn't care about that. Has hissy fit every time she thinks there is a letter out there waiting to be discovered. CM yells and is a harpy through out the movie.
Appearances of long hair boogedy- boo for no reason other then it's a Japanese movie.
HT has 5 minutes straight crying, screaming session with LB. Turn the volumn down, you won't miss a thing. She got on my freaking nerves thru the entire movie.
ED Leaves. CM Jumps. ED comes back. The end.
The very ending made no sense at all. HT just stood there looking stupid.
Whatever.
4 stars because I felt sorry for the movie

I'd forgotten how disappointing this is
Saw this when it first came out as a weekly series. I was excited, because it sounded so good. The writers and director fell flat.
There was so much potential to such a great story.
12 episodes in, there is still no Night Watchman.
The 2 lead males couldn't carry the series off by themselves.
The 2 lead females were superfluous. Ho Do, or whatever, should have been a footnote.
Too much romantic fluff for this type of program.
Not enough action , explanation, "watchman" scenes.
Perhaps this is how I forgot how slow it . Keep the fast forward button at the ready.
