I was really looking forward to this show, it sat in my Next Up queue for a while. Unfortunately it ended up a real head scratcher.
First, what on earth did I just watch?
Second, how could two top tier actors read the script and think this was worth their while?
It's badly written, in large parts non sensical, certainly highly unbelievable, not really funny even though they do try very hard (too hard IMHO), extremely boring and it's a miracle I didn't turn it off before it ended.
Only die hard Clooney / Pitt fans will have anything good to say about this production.
If this movie was a tangible item I would return it for a full refund for "not as expected"...

The reason this production has a lousy 6.9 rating at the time of this review is because it shows Americans in an unflattering light.
The only nation that dropped not one but two nukes in real life can't possibly be depicted as anything but great in a fictional story.
This is a visually stunning movie and while not perfect by any means, it is masterfully cast, splendid acted and directed, plus it gives food for thought. They did well with the special effects and for the most part do a good job with the story line, which is simple but no less decent.
If you like sci-fi and aren't too concerned about how certain nationalities might be portrayed, you will enjoy this movie.

I love dysfunctional, they don't get much better than Shameless, a truly fantastic show. This isn't that kind of show. It certainly isn't a comedy either, I don't know what they were thinking when they picked that category.

Yes, kitchens are noisy and there's always some stress, but this is just chaos without anything to attribute it to. My stress levels went up just listening to the constant barage of NOISE from this show. There's no story to speak of, nothing that will grab your attention or root for any of the characters. Not a damn thing happens in this dirty @$$ kitchen and a really unhealthy, unclean looking chef that handles food without gloves and doesn't keep his sweaty hair under a hat...
I honestly don't know who would rate this production higher than 5 stars other than show participants and die hard Lip fans...
