The best part about the movie is the acting. Even Martin Freeman is not being so much Martin Freeman in every role as he usually is. Jenna Ortega is certainly delivering as female lead. The movie itself is not very original. A literature teacher is impressed by a very talented young student who is admiring the teacher and tension ensues. There must be like dozens of movies out there exploring this, at the very least. You think that something is going to come still, but you miss what was supposed to be the climax and then the movie is suddenly ending. A lot of things that are indicated or used to describe characters or circumstances is not having a play at all.
What is a little going for the movie besides the acting is the cinematography and the polished phrases by the female lead.

It is a far cry from the action in Underworld. There is nothing redeeming about the movie. There is nothing interesting about the cinematography of the movie, The choreography of the fights tries to replace smooth action with violence, as Kate Beckinsale is probably not up anymore for this kind of action. Also her voice sounds like wanting to give us an imitation of Christian Bale's version of Batman's voice with just sparing us from having to see ridiculous outfits.
Overall it looks like they got Kate Beckinsale for cheap and they just added a cheap location, cheap script and cheap actors. I think the only noteworthy acting happening in the movie is coming from Ray Stevenson as the boss.
