Had a good time watching his movie with my girlfriend. The soundtrack was amazing. The action intense. Comedy was dark and pretty funny. Some things didn't make sense e.g. an Asian Martial Arts Fighter (100 Hundred Eyes from Marco Polo) with the Name of George. But that's fine - 2 hours went by as if they were nothing. Evening well spent!
This Movie reminds me of instant noodles - cheap ingredients mixed with sugars and flavor enhancers. Tastes, or in this case - looks good - but is still full of sh*t.
The story is so bad that this movie was one of the (very) few where I was nearly mid through about to abort and leave. But I wanted to know how the movie ended.. so I stayed. The characters and their decisions were a complete mess. Oh and regarding characters - there were so many deaths that it was not possible to create any connection.
In the end it wasn't worth it. I can't say much without spoiling anything - but if you want to turn off your brain and watch a 'murica movie (yeah to guns, yeah to stereotypes and no to story) and waste 2 hours - go ahead. The only great thing were the superb CGI, the somewhat great costume design in the middle of movie and the heartwarming epilogue at the end.

One year ago I watched the first episode of Marco Polo but stopped because it seemed quite boring. I re-watched it one week ago again and continued to binge watch the following days. My girlfriend and I devoured it.
Yes. The show has a slow start, but patience is a virtue. What comes after is perfect in its own way. Is it historically correct? Generally. Most of the main characters existed through out history. Does it make sense that everyone speaks English? Not really. But this is where art starts. If I wanted to watch a true representation of history - I'd choose a documentary - not a Drama!
Watching Marco Polo won't give you a complete satisfaction since Netflix decided to cancel before it could finish the story. But as in life - the journey is the destination. Those 20 episodes are intense and displayed through beautiful art in visual design and sound.
Maybe - if enough people take a leap of faith in watching Marco Polo - then maybe we will have the chance for the continuation of the story in the future.
But until then - my life would be missing something. Even if it's just about those quotes by 100 Eyes..
"Every legend must come to an end."
