Diabolical (2022)
This is entertaining
Im surprise fans of The Boys giving this a bad rating. It's not perfect but I enjoyed it and how can it be a waste of time when the episodes are under 15mins. Definitely something to hold me over waiting 3 months for season 3 of the show!
Love and Leashes (2022)
Tame S&M Romance
I'm not a romance type female unless it's a exotic thriller or raunchy comedy. Ironically I watch a lot of Korean Romance on Netflix. I'm an American who loves Korean thrillers and action and I always felt the romance is too predictable. When I saw the rating at TV-14, I knew this was going to be tame and I was right. Now I kinda found out they censor stuff like this in Korea but I've seen extremely sexual movies from Korea like the lesbian romance The Handmaiden. This was too tame for the type of subject it was portraying but it doesn't mean it was horrible though and no I didn't want want 50 shades of grey but something similar to their other steamy Korean films.
The Matrix Resurrections (2021)
Not the worst movie but definitely disappointing
I'm a fan of the original trilogy, Yes even resolutions. I was really hoping that despite the flaws this movie with at least been decent.. The first 45 minutes was too meta for me and I did fall asleep twice. Lana definitely did not have any ambition to direct this movie and she definitely should have just left it alone from 18 almost 19 years ago like her sister did. Was this the worst movie? Not in my opinion, but I can see why people don't like it. This is definitely a one time watch and pretty forgettable.
Suspiria (2018)
Definitely not worth the runtime
I wouldn't say this is the worst horror remake that I've seen because I've seen a lot worse but this movie was definitely OK once the killing started. I don't thik it was worth the run the run time at all and and it wasn't as appealing as the original and after after the last 30 minutes I basically stopped paying attention to the movie and didn't even care what happened. I'll give it a 5/10 for it's kills but for movie as a whole it was definitely not worth my time after waiting to watch it for 3 years.
Sweet Tooth (2021)
Boring AF
Now I don't usually judge shows or movies before I've finished them but this show is an exception. I knew in the 1st 5 minutes, after they showed the baby animal hybrid like they did in the trailer, I knew I was going to not last watching this. I was laughing,so I only able to watched the first 2 episodes and I couldn't finish it. Maybe if I am bored or want something to play in the background I'll put this show back on another day but until then it's a no for me.
Busanhaeng (2016)
Best zombie film!
Some may not agree but this has to be the beat zombie movie I ever saw. To me this has topped Shaun of the dead, Night of the living dead, Day of the dead(1986) and Dawn of the Dead remake.
I just rewatched it for the the first time in 5 years since I first saw it on Netflix US(now on Amazon and Shudder). The claustrophobia and emotion is still amazing and recommend to watch if you love zombies and action pack films that waste no time kicking off the plot.
The sequel wasn't great but wasnt bad but there no way it would be on par of this film and neither that of the animated prequel. Hate that that my country is planning a an American remake!
Invincible (2021)
Amazing
I have no clue of the source material but happy they kept it animated. Not what I was expecting but epsidoe had me hooked!
I Care a Lot (2020)
How is this worth a Golden Globe Nom
I was really hoping this movie would be amazing. I never saw the trailer and only heard of it because it got an Golden Globe Nomination. I was a little disappointed because it wasnt as good as I thought it would be. I thought she was a con woman who would con in various settings but she's just conning elderly people which isn't funny or interesting which is something that happens a lot in real life.
Rosamund is okay but character was really someone you hoped to get away with her crimes like other films or shows that feature people doing horrible things but hope they get away of it
I was hoping her and her girlfriend would died in riddled with bullets but I like that one person she didnt even think about came out to kill her at the end in her nice white suit after becoming success in being a con. It reminded me the ending of New Jack City and Shaft(2000) where the antagonist got what they deserve in the end.
Moulin Rouge! (2001)
One of my favorite musicals!
Ever since I discovered a special edition DVD of this movie in my uncle's house at the age of 14, I have fallen in love with this movie ever since and I still truly enjoy it 20yrs later. The dancing was always awesome and the music though from other artists still amazing. I'm not really a fan of a lot of musicals since only seen maybe 5 or 6 in my lifetime but this one alwsys felt different than the ones that we're all used to.
Wonder if Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor would ever do another music.
Hotaru no haka (1988)
I was hoping not to cry
I heard about this anime recently. This anime is amazing and haven't watched a anime that left me heartbroken at the end except Devilman Crybaby.
I figured one of the kids would die,but holy crap when he put his little sister's items in basket next to his sister's body and cemented her, I burst out crying. Then when went back to read the plot on wikipedia and the brother had died too, which is shown in the beginning, I cried even more.
Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story (2004)
One of my favorite movies since high school!
I love this movie! This and Anchorman have always been my favorite since I was a teenager back in 2004. This movie isn't for everyone but if you like Ben Stiller or even Vince Vaughn and how he goes on a tangent while talking then definitely watch the movie.
The Haunting of Bly Manor (2020)
This is not a horror show
Will you do not going to this show thinking its horror.
It's really a Gothic romance between the au pair and the gardener. You think that the R pair is the one narrating but then you come to realize its really the Gardener since the au pair died after the spirit of a woman who died in the house in 18th century due her sister she had killed first inhabit her body to dave the girl who's the woman getting married in the first episode. It's a disappointment because I seriously thought it would be horror which the trailer suggested. It should of been better marketed and not make ppl think it's like The Haunting at Hill House which was good.
Also if you hate slow burns, you'll hate this show even more. I gave it a decent rating because it wasn't too bad, but I didn't want to watch romance though I'm a female. I wanted at least psychological horror.
Inrang (2018)
Kinda boring
Started watching this movie and feel asleep during the first hour. Eventually finished the rest of the film and it didn't keep my attention and started looking for more movies to watch as it was still going. I have it a 5 because there was some decent action especially in that shopping/museum scene and also because I realized the director did Tale of two sisters and I Saw the devil which are both amazing.
I'm big fan of Asian cinema, so I usually give their movies more of a benefit of a doubt or high regard then films here in the US.
Cursed (2020)
Not sure I want to finish the series
I got to episode 4 and couldn't finish it without becoming bored. Now it could be because I'm not into medieval shows or movies, which is why it took forever for me to watch Game of Thrones. Only exception of fantasy shows I liked was Zena and Hercules in the 90s.
I may come back to series after watch other more interesting show, but doubt it
I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House (2016)
Nothing happens
I love psychological and slow burn horror, but this movie wasn't good. I knew in the first 20mins nothing was going to happen offhand but as it down to 40 mins left without anything happening I was disappointed. I usually don't care what others say about a film but wish I would of saw the reviews before I decided to watch this film, this film was on my Netflix list for 6 months.
