This is a massive let down if you expect the traditional Gotham characters. It's basically a gangster series and almost all Soprano and very little Penguin. There's none of the atmospheric magic of the comics, but perhaps that's deliberate, in which case why bother building your series on a comic book? This might as well have been any crime story of a million out there.

It's OK if you take it for what it is, a gangster story. It's slow, turgid and doesn't really go anywhere. Colin Farrell is excellent but that's about it. I tried really hard to live it but it just didn't cut the mustard for me.
