Hannah Gadsby: Douglas (2020)
Not my cup of tea
First ten minutes wasn't funny at all. It's just me. I'm boring. You can't put a boring person to watch a boring stand up show. You need to have some history of Gadsby to appreciate her work.
The Masked Singer (2019)
Love It or Hate It
Not all music lovers will like this show. The masks are just a distraction so that you can listen to the voices and discover their hidden (or terrible) singing talents. Sometimes it's baffling how the professional singers get eliminated so soon. I get the concept and some just don't get it. The most annoying person would have to be Nick Cannon. His fake hosting will always make me say "this guy already knows who is under each mask". During every reveal, he can give a full description of the celebrities' credentials immediately after the mask is lifted. And the more I watch the panelists, they look like they know the identity of each contestant.
Still, it's quality time with my young daughter.
What If...?: What If... Ultron Won? (2021)
I See You...
The only 3 words that turned this series around. The multiverse plot has now become more enticing to MCU fans.
"I finally found you."
What If...? (2021)
It's All Connected
This relates to the conclusion of Loki Season One. This is the result of the broken sacred timeline. There are multiverses which presents different scenarios in the MCU. The animation format gives Marvel flexibility in presenting this multiverse using only voice acting. Every episode builds up to a culminating event.
Ted Lasso (2020)
Ted Lasso Shows You How To Lead
This is for people in the corporate world who leads teams. No matter how your team hates you or loves you, carry on. Sure, this is just a comedy show but Lasso displays stoicism hidden in that warm and fuzzy character. An American brought in to coach an English pro soccer team calls for adaptability and patience. No matter what life throws at you, accept your fate. But, you find a way to make it work. Ignore what others think of you and do what needs to be done. Ted Lasso does not teach you to meditate, he tells you how to respond to every quirk and problem. I have yet to see a person who behaves like Lasso. Don't look for him. Be the Lasso. Hear the "w@nker" chants and still dare to inspire others.

The Suicide Squad (2021)
James Gunn's Version of Suicide Squad
The tagline "Don't Get Too Attached" was pure genius. This should've been the formula for the first version. Even if Gunn used the old cast, it would still work. Starro was a off tangent for an enemy. Still, a great ride.
F9 (2021)
F means Failure
I lost interest in just 20 minutes into the movie. The only characters missing are Ethan Hunt and his team.
Space Jam: A New Legacy (2021)
I Only Gave A Bonus Point for Looney Tunes
Bron had a promising performance on the movie Trainwreck. It just plummeted here. And yes, Michael Jordan is STILL the GOAT.
The World's Most Amazing Vacation Rentals (2021)
Wrong Hosts
Might as well get rich, successful athletes to host this show. Not these social media hypes. Unconvincing, uninteresting.
Sam Smith Live at Abbey Road Studios (2020)
A Gay Man with A Great Voice
Sam Smith's voice is just pleasing to the ears. Great to see a performer who can freely express himself so we can appreciate his talent. His song lineup could've been better but he picked 80% of his greatest songs.
Pardon me if I used the wrong pronoun.
Physical (2021)
So Far...
With the first 3 episodes, I'm getting a good feel of the early 80's. But, I have yet to see a major shift in the storyline. I'm just here for Rose Byrne.
Master of None: Moments in Love, Chapter 1 (2021)
As Bad as Licking Someone's Armpit
Life doesn't have to be as boring as this. Seeing Dev in a guest appearance was the lone bright spot. Although his character story took a different turn from season 2. This show needs a savior after this season.
Friends: The Reunion (2021)
Was Hoping for A Spinoff
A hit for the past 3 decades, fans were hoping for some continuation in a form of a spinoff. There were highlights and just a final reason on why their story should end and lived happily ever after. There will never be another great ensemble like these 6 lead characters.
Aziz Ansari: Right Now (2019)
Aziz Navigating Through Life
His comeback starts off with his alleged "sexual misconduct". Aziz bravely and manly embraces then calmly goes back to his element. The crowd happily gives him a pass. Truth is, in an unfortunate relationship it takes two to tango. This paves the way for Aziz' to come up with new material.
Woke and anti-woke culture exists but it's both an illusion. Life is still good.
Aziz Ansari deserved the break. Time for him to resume his career in his own terms.
In Your Eyes (2010)
Old Formula
Same cheesy storyline. Unconvincing acting. Waste of time.
Tina (2021)
Good But Can Be Better
It could've given the audience a complete discography of her solo career. Her first release of her Private Dancer album was the classic remake of "Let's Stay Together" as well as other music that charted in the 80's and 90's. Her last hit song was "I Don't Wanna Fight".
She built her own brand after her acrimonious divorce. But, it was her kind of music that everyone listened to.
Bling Empire (2021)
Superficial and Downright Dumb
Sure, this is a story of people with Asian descent.
Still, they're a bunch of rich, but self-centered Americans.
Under the blanket of lavish and extravagant parties are people with empty and lonely souls.
The life of excess only makes people want more.
I wouldn't let my sons and daughters watch this abomination.
Batwoman (2019)
Episode 1, Season 1: What Does That Paddle Say??
How did Kate figure that out???? Terrible. Just a terrible start. Didn't bother watching the rest of the season.
The Minimalists: Less Is Now (2021)
Same Message. Needs to be In Another Level.
Still delivers a strong message.
They need to follow it up but with a more detailed format.
They already have ways to minimalize life and they need to present it in actuality.
I am sure there are practitioners of this lifestyle and I hope they are in the process of making it happen.
Wonder Woman 1984 (2020)
An Utter Waste of Time
The hype went down drastically after watching for 30 minutes. What was Patty Jenkins thinking?
The Mandalorian (2019)
Space Cowboy
More sauce than your classic spaghetti western. This series has almost everything Star Wars has given us.
The Bee Gees: How Can You Mend a Broken Heart (2020)
Music is Not Always The Beatles
The Bee Gees were breaking ground long before
The Beatles exploded. Their genres evolved from soul, to folk, pop rock, to disco to classic adult contemporary. Their musical influence had an extraordinary effect in four great decades. They are icons. How they craftily maneuvered in the world of music is beyond genius. They are songwriters who had the ear for the perfect rhythm. They were gifted singers as well. They made the biggest songs in an imperfect world.
Hubie Halloween (2020)
A Dark Comedy
...and just wasn't great. Only for a diehard Sandler fan.
Get Organized with the Home Edit (2020)
Trying My Best to Finish the First Episode
Too much blabbering. It's like they absorbed the mess from the closets they were organizing.
