This '80s serial killer drama is centred on veteran LAPD officer Detective Leo Kessler who, along with rookie partner Paul McAnn, are on the hunt for a killer. The identity of the killer is not hidden from the audience; it is office worker Warren Stacey. He is targeting women who have rebuffed his unwelcome advances. It won't be easy to catch him though; he makes sure he has an alibi and commits his murders naked so there will be no trace evidence on his clothes. As Kessler gets closer, and bends the law in the process, Stacey turns his attention to Kessler's daughter Laurie, a nurse at a local hospital.
If you are a fan of the gritty, and somewhat sleazy, cop dramas that were popular in the '70s and '80s then this is well worth checking out. Bronson impresses in the lead role and Gene Davis is solid as Warren Stacey, a particularly creepy character even by the standards on movie serial killers. The rest of the cast are pretty decent too. Knowing the identity of the killer doesn't make the film less tense; if anything it increases it as we know Kessler is right to suspect him but don't know how he'll prove it or how many people will die before the killer is stopped. There is a fair amount of nudity and violence... there is more of the former than one would expect in a modern film but less of the latter, at least in terms of injury details depicted, there is plenty of blood. Overall I'd say this won't be for everybody but it is well worth a watch if you are a fan of the genre; particularly if you like examples featuring Charles Bronson.

Thirty eight year old Ken'ichi Hamada is a manga artist who, after moving to the country, finds himself transported to another world. He soon discovers that he can still access his favourite internet shopping site and purchases instantly materialise in his new world; he can also sell items acquired so doesn't run out of funds. He soon has a nice new home and makes a good living reselling items he bought online. Inevitable he manages to upset some other merchants who see his sales as a threat... equally inevitably for this sort of series he soon has several female friends living with him!
Every new season recently has thrown up several new isekai series and each has to have its own unique twist to make it stand out. This one manages to do this with Ken'ichi's purchasing ability. That caught my attention and the fun characters and situations kept me interested. There is a good mix of drama and comedy along with some mild fan service. Animation and character designs are solid. Overall a fun series that I'd recommend to fans of the genre.

John Eastland and Michael Jefferson are the best of friends who served together in Vietnam, where they were lucky to survive. Now they work together in New York. After Michael is attacked and left paralysed Eastland decides to go after those responsible. He then sets his sights on other criminals who plague the city. The killings are investigated by Detective James Dalton; he is determined to catch the man the press have dubbed 'The Exterminator'.
I recall that adverts for this film regularly appeared in video magazines back in the eighties; I didn't watch it then but when I saw it available to stream I thought I'd give it a go. The opening, in Vietnam, was less than promising but once the action moved to New York things picked up. Clearly inspired by the likes of 'Death Wish' this is a classic vigilante thriller. Our 'hero' sets about finding various ne'er-do-wells and dispatches them in various unpleasant ways... much of the nastiness taking place just off camera so we hear screams put don't see anything too disgusting (thankfully). The acting isn't great but it is better than I expected in this sort of film. Overall I'd say that this may not be a great film it isn't terrible and is worth a watch if you like gritty '70/''80s vigilante action.
